Player Plot: Poison Joke

Thought that April Fools was finally over? Nonsense! Next weekend, starting on April 20th-22nd, a strange blue flower will start growing all over Mayfield. Once your character touches it, they'll be given some kind of physical affliction that's either embarrassing or inconvenient for your character. It could be anything from your character suddenly having pink hair, a female character suddenly having a man's voice (or the other way around), growing an extra arm - hey, they could even turn into a pony!

Basically what the Poison Joke does is if your character comes into contact with it, it'll play a practical joke on your character in the form of some kind of physical change, so feel free to get creative with what it does to your character! The event will start on the 20th and end on the 22nd, where the effects will go away and your character will be returned to normal.

I'm loving the idea of people turning into ponies, but I have to wonder: if anyone is turned into a unicorn, will they be able to use unicorn magic? I'm trying to decide which kind of pony Kreutzer will end up turning in to.

She'll be a unicorn with no magic. I imagine Poison Joke nullifies any kind of magical effect.

If a character has regained transformational abilities of their own, would they be able to use those powers to get around the effects of the Poison Joke for a little bit?

Translation: if my Kamen Rider here got turned into a pony, would he be able to transform into his Kamen Rider self...or would he just turn into a Kamen Rider pony? XD

Pretty much they would be a Kamen Rider pony! Poison Joke would pretty much nullify a transformation effect. Basically if a character tries to use some kind of ability/magic to get around the Poison Joke, they can't until the Poison Joke goes away.

Can characters be turned into other non-MLP species, so long as those species are present in Mayfield and it would be reasonably funny for that transformation to occur?

Does the transformation have to be physical? IE I thought poison joke was supposed to work by taking what the character is proudest of and making a mockery of it.

And since the only thing that Billy's really proud of is his brain, Poison Joke would make him temporarily dumb as a brick. Would that work?

It is a physical change! While it wouldn't really make Billy dumb as a brick, it could say...make him tongue-tied, fumble over words - basically make him sound foolish even though he knows what he wants to say.
