For this event, Grey will be opening portals to seven different locations over the next seven days, with each location containing a memento that characters will have to retrieve. One portal will open a day; while you're free to sign up as many characters as you'd like, your character will only be able to enter through a single portal throughout the whole event. In other words, there will be seven different groups accessing a different location each day.

The contents of each portal will not be revealed to the characters prior to entering. As far as OOC knowledge, the portals will be in this order:

The island | The desert | The sky | The mountain | The carnival | The wasteland | ?????

The portals will grow progressively more dangerous with each passing day. For instance, the location the portal on Day 1 will lead to will only have minor and easily avoidable dangers, while Day 6's portal will lead to a location filled with deadly NPCs and traps. Please keep this in mind when deciding what day your character will enter, because for the first time ever in Mayfield, we will be introducing a permadeath option. Anyone who dies outside of Mayfield may be permakilled! The same goes for injuries: certain wounds sustained in the portals will not heal, even upon return to Mayfield. Obviously, we will absolutely not be killing any characters without permission or forcing permadeath/injury on anyone - the choice will remain completely in your hands. If you do decide to permakill your character, you are always free to reapp them in the next round.

Possibly stupid question: when you say "will not heal", do you mean they would be literally permanent and not heal even through normal means (if it's something that the character could recover from) or that dying and reviving will not heal them and they will have to wait the injury out?

SECOND QUESTION: When you say permanent death, out of curiosity, do you mean "cannot be reapped with memories"?
