Once you're accepted, please introduce yourself on the community when you're ready to play.
• If your app is "Pending", do not freak out! This means that we need you to make some revisions, and does not mean you're rejected. We generally give players a chance to revise before rejecting them, but we will reject apps that do not address the concerns stated when we asked for a revision. Character Name: Intelligence Dampening Sphere, or "Wheatley" (note: As he's commonly referred to as Wheatley, that's the name I'll be using for him. Character Name: Scooby Doo Character Series: Scooby Doo! Mystery Incorporated Character Age: Unknown but he's an adult Great Dane mix. Background:Wiki link Personality: At first glance Scooby Doo is a large cowardly dog with an appetite that could make a black hole look like a hole in a sandbox. Take a second glance and you'll won't see any difference aside from maybe that he's shoved a foot-long submarine sandwich into his mouth.
But let's scratch beyond the fur (and occasionally nacho cheese-caked) surface. Much of the time Scooby can be written off as being very much like his owner and best friend Shaggy; good natured, a bit dimwitted and more than a little cowardly. Some of this is true.
Scooby is a notorious coward and a friendly dog for the most part. When danger is afoot his first instinct is to hide and wait it out. But when push comes to shove he will step up and do what needs to be done. No matter how frightened he is, when he has a job to do he'll do it with little complaining and a good amount of coaxing. Most of the time this involves acting as bait.
However 'dimwitted' is far from accurate. He's the second wittiest member of Mystery Incorporated next to Velma. He's usually ready with some kind of dry, snarky remark when something dumb is said or done. That being said "reading the atmosphere" is an attribute he either lacks or chooses to ignore depending on the situation. In early episodes, before he becomes aware of Shaggy and Velma's romance, he constantly butts in when they're trying to have time alone even when it's clear (at least in Velma's case) that they'd like to be alone.
Although he does have his moments when things go over his head, Scooby is a reasonably intelligent and just as capable as the rest of the team in picking out important clues. In the pilot he's the first one to realize the strange gook the gang discovered was really fruitmeirs, a popular frozen dessert only sold in one shop in all of Crystal Cove. Later, in "Mystery Solvers Club State Finals", it's Scooby who figures out the guinea pigs aren't really the various mystery solving clubs. He then deciphered the clues that led to him and the other sidekicks to finding the whereabouts of the teams.
If there's one thing Scooby loves in the world more than food it's his friends. He's fiercely protective of the four of them and Char-Gar Gothakon help you if even try to hurt them, Shaggy especially. He's smarter than the average dog and he knows how to work a forklift. Just ask the robot dog built to impersonate him and frame him for attacking a tour bus. When the gang are under the influence of Aphrodite he goes so far as to team up with their enemy Professor Pericles in order to get the ingredients needed for a cure.
While Scooby loves each member Mystery Incorporated he's especially close to Shaggy. He's his best friend and they do practically everything together from solving mysteries to staying up all night with snacks and their favorite Vincent Van Ghoul movies. When Scooby finds out Shaggy chose to go to the prom with Velma over their annual movie marathon without telling him he's understandably upset. He spends the majority of the next episode refusing to acknowledge Shaggy's existence and for a while he replaces him with Shaggy's old ventriloquist dummy as his best friend. Even after he forgives Shaggy he still becomes incredibly jealous when he catches he and Velma kissing, going so far as to accuse Shaggy of "cheating" on him.
Abilities: -Human speech, with a bit of a speech impediment. - The ability to read. - Picking locks with nails. - Bottomless pit of a stomach. - Able to work heavy machinery such as the Mystery Machine and a forklift. - Above average ventriloquist skills. - The "All Gulp, No Air" eating technique. - Cooking and baking.
Sample Entry:
[A week here and Scooby still isn't sure what to make of Mayfield. It's not at all like Crystal Cove (so far). The people are different (and downright terrifying in some cases), the smells are different, there aren't even any restaurants that will serve a dog or even let him order pepperoni and pistachio ice cream pizza. If the family he'd been placed with didn't keep the fridge and pantry so well stocked he'd have wasted away in the first few days. Speaking of which, this sandwich needs mustard.
Scooby continues his puttering about the kitchen, pawing open the refrigerator to get his next condiment. He misses the gang and moping around in his new dog house hadn't done him any good so the obvious answer is a good old fashioned ham, turkey, roast beef, tomato, cheese, saurkraut and bacon sandwich with mustard. If that didn't improve his mood nothing would.
The Great Dane slathers a large glob of mustard onto the top slice of pumpernickel bread and places it back on top of his lunch, wrapping his paws around the high-stacked meal. Oh, this is going to be good. He'll have to make it again and share it with Shaggy next time-
Oh. Right. No Shaggy. No Freddie or Daphne or Velma. No Mystery Incorporated here. He can't share anything with them...at least not right now. Oh well, if he can't share it with them he can at least enjoy it for them. Scooby opens his mouth, ready to take that first delicious chomp and...
It's too big. He can't fit the whole thing between his jaws like he used to. He can't eat it all in one bite. He gives a loud, tortured, howling moan as the concoction of miscellaneous meats, cheeses and assorted other foods plops back onto the plate.]

Character Name: Ditto 2. Character Series: Pokemon Episode 639. Character Age: Young, probably a year or two. Background: Pokemon Ditto Ditto 2
Personality: Ditto 2, like its partner, Ditto 1, is an adaptable and mischievous Pokemon. It runs off on its own to have a little fun. It also is exceptional in its skill to copy other Pokemon, mimicking habits and powers without fail. It’s still only as skilled in a battle as its master, though. Even so, it does its best when needed and has it's fun when its not.
It loves to have a little fun. Copying someone’s Pokemon to steal food or trick the Pokemon’s owner into thinking it is the real thing. It is a great game to see who can tell it from something they care about. Besides, sometimes you need to be someone special to get what you want. It is observant enough to realize what is going on and to get what it really wants in the end. Without its master, there is little to stop it.
When Ditto 2 copies something, it is almost perfect. It might not be able to take a hit like the target can, but it can hit just as hard and use all their powers. It knows how to use the powers just like the original and will use it just like the original. The fact that it does have access to the abilities of its copy means it can do more than just parrot, it can preempt the victim in trying to prove it is real.
It’s a quick Pokemon. It can change almost instantly and is good at switching before anyone knows what’s what. It runs around and manages to slip by often enough. It puts all these skills to use in its trickery and mischief. What's the use of a copy power if you can't have a little fun with it, right? Its a good way to get what it wants and have a little fun in the process.
Like all Dittos, it likes people and adapts well to highly populated areas. It has a strong willed but loving owner that adores it and its partner more than any other Pokemon. It has been sheltered and it actually does like people. It is obedient to its owner even if it does cause problems for everyone else. It'll put any skill to use when told without thinking twice about it.
Abilities: Transform - Dito copies the cellular structure of anything it sees. It is used defensively, usually, when faced with an enemy. Or to adapt and survive, like turning into a stone when it sleeps. It can be manipulated or convinced to turn into things at the will of others. If it doesn't see the subject, it will make a poor copy as it has a bad memory. It is hard to keep the form if it laughs.
Limber - Immune to paralysis
Imposter – Instantly transforms when confronted. Reflexive instead of actively planned.

Ditto 2 decides to have a little fun. Becoming the neighbor’s dog, it sneaks around to the front door and scratches on the door while the real dog sleeps. Going in, it heads right over to the food and goes to town.

Character Name: Peeta Mellark Character Series: The Hunger Games Character Age: 17 Background:link. { taken from just after Katniss shoots Coin } Personality: To put it simply - Peeta is good. Too good, in fact. Haymitch tells Katniss that she essentially does not deserve him. He's a self-sacrificing, clever, charming person. He has very vivid memories, is passionate, and caring. He truly is just a good, likeable person - to a fault. At this point, though Peeta is highly disoriented due to the things he has endured thanks to the best torture the Capitol has to offer. He's become slightly suicidal, homicidal, and -- well, crazy thanks to them. His core, though, still exists, though it is definitely damaged.
While he seems to care about people in general, Katniss is surely at the top of his list. He definitely loves her more than anyone as the series progresses, and often sticks her neck out for her in order to keep her alive. The first real time he did something for her was when they were eleven. He saw that she was starving outside - and therefore he burned bread, got hit/beaten by his mother, so that he would have an opportunity to toss it to her. This is not where his list of good deeds ends, either. In the 74th games (his first time participating), he made a deal with Haymitch that they would do what they needed to do in order to keep Katniss alive. That his needs (regardless of what they were) were to be dismissed.
During his interview with Caesar, he admits that he has feelings for Katniss (which Haymitch says has made her desirable). This was another of his tricks to make her get a bit of a head start in the games. Once they are in the arena, he teams up with the Career tributes. He does this as a way of misleading them and taking them off of Katniss' path. When she drops the Trackerjackers on the sleeping group beneath the tree, he comes back to make sure that she is able to run from Cato. He risks his own leg to do this, taking serious damage to just below his thigh (which later ends up being removed, and he has a mostly-false leg). They find out that there are able to be two victors from the same district, and team up again, but he often tells her to leave him behind because he is just slowing her down. He's willing to let himself be left behind and die in order to have her live.
Towards the end of their first games (the 74th in total), after Cato dies and there is only the two of them, the rules are changed again to only one victor. He offers to have her kill him so that she can return home to her family. Obviously, this is overcome by a suicide threat on both of their parts, but the fact that he was willing to do it says a lot. Even though he is very hurt thanks to her after their first time at the games, he comes back and continues on their game of being 'star-crossed lovers', able to sacrifice his own feelings in order to play the game and make sure that no one gets hurt as a result (at least for the time being).
His playing doesn't stop in the 75th games (their second time), and he easily figures out that Katniss is trying to keep him alive throughout. The games, though, are abruptly ended, and he is taken by the capitol. He is displayed on camera several times and one time he warns about a bombing in thirteen. Whether or not he did this to save Katniss or just because he was influenced to, it was hard to tell. But one can be certain he endured a beating for it.
There is a long time where he believes Katniss to be a threat, thanks to the Capitol hijacking him, but even then when he is wading through the real and not real memories, he insists that he should die in order to protect her. That he should be left behind. That when she tries to kill herself after shooting Coin, he tells her that he can't let her. While I did use his specific examples for Katniss, it would apply to nearly anyone. This self-sacrificing part of him is probably the most important part of him. Also, these show how passionate he is and how he behaves when he truly cares about something/someone.
Peeta is clever in that he knows how to play the game. He knows how to charm an audience and how to make them go in the direction he wants to. His humor is a bit self-deprecating and it makes him appeal to the audience. When he is interviewing with Caesar, he has a good back and forth going. It was his idea to tell them that he loved Katniss (74th game), tell them they were married (75th games), and that Katniss was expecting (75th games). Although they were all lies, people bought into them because of the sort of lovable face he has. Obviously, he has to be relatively clever for the career tributes to buy into him wanting an alliance with them and for him to be able to deceive them away from Katniss for an extended period of time. People love him nearly as much as he likes them, and even Haymitch admits that he likes Peeta more (but he was helping Katniss win because that was what Peeta wanted). Both of these characteristics assist him in getting what he wants from people.
Although his humor is very self-depricating and it may seem like a show, Peeta has shown examples that he doesn't believe that highly in himself otherwise. He has a hard time admitting to his strengths (when asked by Haymitch). In fact, he says early on that his mother told them that there might be a victor from their District - and she meant Katniss. He buries this lack of confidence pretty deeply within himself and it is not brought up terribly often.
His memory is extremely vivid. He is able to recall things from when he is very young. Specific details from age five, like when he heard Katniss' father sing the song about The Hanging Man and heard her sing and the birds stopping. These are details that most people probably wouldn't remember. (Basically, he followed Katniss with stalker-level skills.) This may also be things he chooses to remember due to his infatuation with her.
He does not believe that fighting solves anything. When he is hijacked by the capitol, he calls for an end to the fighting. Additionally, when he is asked if the Capitol children should participate in one last games - for the sake of peace - he says no because he does not believe it would help anything. I wouldn't call him a pacifist (he acknowledges that it is sometimes necessary), but I certainly think he would prefer to not get involved in a fight.
Despite all the goodness and passion that resides within Peeta, when it gets placed in the wrong hands, it is incredibly easy to twist. As a result of the disruption of the 75th games, he is picked up by the Capitol. They do something that is called 'hijacking'. Essentially, it is turning all those nice memories of Katniss into threatening ones and made unpleasant.
When he first sees her, all he does is reach up to strangle her. He sees Katniss as a threat now, and because of the Capitol's influence he wants to kill her. They have basically convinced him that Katniss is not human. Any mention of her, or things associated with her start off by sending him into a violent rage. They start to progressively work to undo the damage that they have done, but it is irreversible. Despite that, they want to help him cope with it. Baking cakes and decorating them seems to be very therapeutic for him.
In the end it is up to him to distinguish which memories are real and are not. He gets a lot of help. Although he is deemed unsafe for others, because he is definitely homicidal, they attempt bringing him out more and more. This version of Peeta is much colder and way more distant, though deep down is the one that he was before the Capitol. By the time he goes to the Capitol with Katniss (for what is essentially their last mission to getting rid of Snow), he seems to be a lot more docile (although still very disoriented).
During this time, Finnick suggests that they develop something which is 'Real or not real?', which he can recite memories and someone will tell him whether or not they are real or not real. While on this mission to take the Capitol and get rid of Snow, he does figure out that those false memories have a slight haze over them that his real memories do not have.
Despite this, he definitely finds himself unstable. He frequently wishes for people to leave him behind, and is constantly requesting methods to kill himself. He says 'just in case', but he was honestly so willing to die to just end all of the confusion. He insists that he remains handcuffed so that he wouldn't be able to harm anyone. He finds himself to be a danger to others, and thinks it is a perfectly logical request to no longer want to be a part of the team.
It is important to know that while he may seem to have a grip on things, he is still disoriented. He's still figuring out what memories are real and what are not. It is possible for him to freak out about things, become violent, and aggressive, if one of those painful memories is brought back up. He is working (very hard) to suppress the false memories. If I am putting it simply: this boy is a bit crazy still.
In summary - he still a very good guy, but because he's unstable and sometimes that makes his goodness hard to see. He has freakouts, but he's working hard to keep all of that from surfacing.
Abilities: ☼ Peeta makes a mean loaf of bread. He's a skilled baker, and is able to decorate cakes. He just likes bread, mmkay. ☼ He is great at camouflaging himself in the arena. He credits this to his cake decorating. ☼ He can paint! Very well. ☼ He is physically very strong (it makes up for his lack of speed) and trained. By the time he entered the arena for the 75th games, he was behaving as a career tribute. ☼ He is good with knives. ☼ He has decent survival skills (limited knowledge of edible plants, and tying knots).
[ Action ] [ Peeta enjoys walking to school. It gives him time to think about things without the in the morning before the day starts, though walking is awkward for him. He had spent a year adjusting to having his left leg being gone, and now it was back. His walking was still a bit clunky. He also wasn't completely used to being provided for. Still, though, he managed to put on a smile and treat this like one of the games.
He isn't happy about it, but he still does it. He smiles, waves to a couple of the other students at the school as he approaches, but he makes a point to not talk to everyone and go straight to his classes.
He still isn't completely convinced that this place is real. For now, though, he prefers playing along to consequences. Not playing along in the past has caused him so much pain that for now, the normal thing seems nice enough. At least in comparison. ]

Character Name: Erik Lehnsherr (aka Magneto) Character Series:X-Men: First Class Character Age: 32 Background:Marvel Movies wikia (It should be noted I do not adhere to some of the interpretations of Erik presented in this wiki, specifically the parts about Erik wanting to destroy mankind.)
Personality: Erik is a driven man, who is single-minded in the pursuit of his goals: the first and foremost of which is securing the safety of mutant kind. With his passionate retaliation against the humans who attacked the mutants in Cuba (after they had risked their own lives to stop the world from falling into war), Erik took the first step toward becoming the most out-spoken advocate for mutant separatism and supremacy. Whether it was an act of terrorism or an act of war is debateable, but none can question it was at its heart an action made in defence against utter annihilation.
To understand Erik, one must understand his past and how that past shaped his view of the world. As a young teen, Erik survived one of the most horrifying acts of genocide in modern history. He was incarcerated in the Auschwitz extermination camp where day after day he bore witness to the wholesale slaughter of not only his own family, but the Jewish people. His people. These events planted the seeds of what would become Erik's deep distrust of humankind. Erik witnessed first-hand their inability to accept that which is different, the atrocities they are willing to commit on those who are different, and the apathy with which those atrocities are met.
Because of his boyhood experiences, Erik carries with him a great deal of survivor's guilt as well as the mental scars of his torment at Shaw's hands. Erik awakened to his power in the death camp and did not truly grasp its great potential until long after he was freed. Knowing he had the power to save so many from death must surely haunt him. I would also go so far as to say he suffers from PTSD from his traumas. Erik displays many of the symptoms: he is volatile, emotionally isolated from others, unable to form meaningful relationships (with the notable exception of Charles), violent, and is quick to associate current events with his past.
Despite these events, Erik found purpose in a dedicated life. First, he commits nearly two decades of his life to avenging the murder of his mother, then he reinvents himself as the mutant revolutionary Magneto. As a man bent on revenge, Erik transformed himself from powerless child into a veritable James Bond figure. He spend the better part of two decades learning the various and sundry skills that made him an apex hunter of (former) Nazis. This, of course, required a great deal of discipline and moral flexibility. During this time, Erik thrived on his outrage over the past. He's admittedly only able to harness his powers on a large-scale through anger and so he clings to those past traumas to forge them into something of use to him. In other words, Erik actually thrived on his pain and his anger. It is almost a vicious cycle: he is outraged, thus seeks revenge which requires his outrage to exact.
It is clear that just under his hard candy shell, Erik is an angry and volatile man. It is not until he meets Charles Xavier that he is able to truly free himself of a small degree of his rage. It is through his brief time with Xavier that Erik realises the true potential of his powers and that his outrage is not the only key to unlocking them. Once reinvented as Magneto, Erik uses his outrage in a more constructive manner, opting to rally together his mutant brethren with talk of injustice and mutant separatism. The skills he learnt in his time hunting down Shaw proved useful to the leader of the burgeoning Brotherhood of Mutants.
Erik is, in many ways, fearless. He is a risk-taker who is not afraid to use violence to reach his goals. We see this in his dealings with the Swiss banker who has information on Shaw. Despite that, Erik does not view himself as a violent man so much as a man capable of great violence when necessary. He is charming when it suits him, a charismatic leader, an eloquent speaker, and skilled in manipulation. His past experiences helps him inspire his fellow mutants and encourages them to his cause for mutant separatism. As someone who lived in fear and in hiding, Erik appeals to those mutants who believe they have a right to exist and those who believe that are something more than baseline humans.
Erik spent most of his life alone. This was a choice due to his revenge-bent lifestyle and his own inability to open up to and trust others. He sees the worst in all things while viewing himself as a realist who sees the world as it is, not how he wants it to be. It is a key ideological difference between himself and Xavier. In addition, Erik is a man who is ruled by passion and uses his intellect to justify his emotionally charged responses to a given situation. It helps explain his dedication to mutant kind: Erik views them as the people he lost in the Holocaust, a sort of extended family for him to guide and protect in a way he was unable to do before.
We can assume that Erik had a basic education prior to his incarceration in Auschwitz, but in the time since his escape, he has been a self-taught man. Erik's dedication against shows in his acquired skills. He is a self-made assassin, a competent fighter, a skilled tracker. In addition to that, he has acquired a significant amount of wealth (most notably in reclaimed Nazi gold) which he used to fund his hunt for Shaw. Erik is also fluent in several languages and, it is safe to assume, has done research on magnetism to better understand his abilities and their potential (especially post-canon). While he is not the genius-level intellect we see in later films and the comics, it is clear that Erik is not an ignorant fool.
As Magneto, Erik views himself as a revolutionary fighting for the rights of his people against a society that would rather not see them at best and destroy them at worst. He truly believes himself a hero working toward a noble cause, though he is more than willing to use less than noble means. To him, it is the end goal that matters, not how that goal is achieved. As Magneto, Erik is not above manipulation, blackmail, violence, and murder to achieve his goals. While his motivations are understandable to any who stop to analyse them, they are hardly condonable. Erik steadfastly shirks his responsibility for these actions, blaming others and his own past for his actions in the present.
Overall, Erik is a man who is driven by his emotions and the ghosts of his past. He believes in his cause whole-heartedly and has dedicated his existence to creating a world that is safe for mutants. While he does believe them to be the superior race, he does not condone genocide and is not in any way advocating the wholesale destruction of the human race (although he could be all right with its subjugation). While he makes broad, sweeping generalisations about humankind and its actions, he is able to judge individuals based on their own actions and merits.
He is a leader of a group of like-minded, marginalised, and ostracised people who want only to find their place in a world that despises them for nothing more than existing, an echo of the place in society Jews held before being carted off to concentration camps. Despite surrounding himself with people, Erik still reveals little of himself and trusts with great difficulty, if at all. For him, he acts for all mutant kind in the hopes of a better future. All his claims of being a realist and a cynic are tainted by his hope for the future of mutant kind to which he has dedicated himself.
In conclusion, Erik Lehnsherr is a passionate, dedicated man who is both shaped and driven by his fiery emotions. He carries the weight of the dead with him in the form of survivors guilt. He is temperamental to the point of being mercurial while being paradoxically disciplined, devoted, and calculating. He is manipulative, a stellar strategist, and adapts well to change should his plans go awry. He believes himself the leader of a noble cause and is willing to make whatever sacrifices he must to achieve his goals.
Abilities: Powers; → magnokinesis; the ability to sense, manipulate, and eventually create magnetic fields. This ability is the basis for the following:
● magnetic sensation; throughout the film Erik displays the ability to sense objects without knowing their exact location or even existence (i.e.- the banker's fillings, which he is also able to identify; Shaw's submarine; the repositioning of the American and Soviet fleets' weaponry toward the Cuban beach, etc.). This implies a sixth sense for Erik, in which he is able to feel even minute changes in the magnetic field.
● magnetic manipulation; Erik is shown to have a high degree of skill in manipulating (specifically metal) objects (i.e.- ripping out the banker's filling, taking apart guns, moving larger objects such as the anchor of Shaw's yacht, the satellite dish, Shaw's submarine, etc.). This ties in with the above listed ability. Able to sense magnetic fields, Erik is now able to readily manipulate them. He has gone from moving things on a small scale (coins, fillings, and hand-held weapons) to a relatively massive scale (submarines and beyond).
● magnetic flight; after ripping Shaw's submarine from the sea, Erik seems to truly awaken to his powers. Once he is finished with Shaw, he levitates from the destroyed sub to the beach. This implies an innate ability to create magnetic forces that counter those of nature, thus repelling him from the Earth's surface. Alternately, Erik could simply sail on the natural movements of the Earth's electro-magnetic field for long-distance flight.
● magnetic shield; we see Erik deflecting bullets and missiles (in Cuba, though he brags to Charles about being able to stop a bullet at point blank range earlier). It stands to reason with the newfound consciousness of his potential, Erik could create a proper magnetic force field to protect himself on all sides from those danger he is not able to see hurtling toward him.
● enhanced strength / stamina; if plucking a submarine out of the ocean was easy, Erik would have succeeded the first time he tried. His ability has a clear physical effect on him (i.e.- exhaustion after trying to stop the submarine, exhaustion when trying to move the satellite dish, struggle to lift the submarine the second time). By the end of the film, Erik has found a focus the lessens the physical toll. This implies an increase in strength and stamina, possibly due to harnessing natural electro-magnetic energy.
Abilities; → James Bond motherfucker; No, really. The man is a Nazi-hunting shark. That takes certain skills:
● research; the map and all the connected lines, photos, and notes give a clue to this. Erik has been tracking Shaw, probably, since leaving Auschwitz. At some point between his teenage years and the present, Erik learned to be a stalker most people would fear.
● manipulation; he conned his way into the Swiss bank, he used torturous methods to extract the information he needed, then threatened a horrific death should the man talk. Erik learned the methods somewhere along the line. They are skills that are absolutely necessary for a man seeking vengeance.
● blend in; Erik is as comfortable in a three-piece suit as he is in a sweat suit. Whatever situation he finds himself in, Erik is able to appear nonchalant. Ripping fillings out of mouths? Totally what he planned to do! Choking out a woman made of diamond? Yeah, he was expecting that. Pushing students off satellite dishes and shrugging it off? It worked, so who cares? Erik is able to get away with a great deal of bad behaviour, simply because he acts as if it was the completely right and natural thing for him to do.
● survival; he likely survived on his own for a time after Auschwitz giving him some skill as a survivalist. If needed, Erik would be able to live off the land and get by without most modern conveniences (though why would he want to?).
● militaristic training; someone, somewhere taught Erik how to strategise, how to track, and most assuredly how to kill. Comic canon gives him military training that has yet to be seen in any of the films. For the sake of filling in gaps, Erik learned strategy, leadership, and fighting (though he prefers using his powers to crude hand-to-hand combat) from someone who was trained in these things.
● torture and murder; let us not sugar coat it. Erik himself admits he is a monster. He so much as tells the Swiss banker he wished he could kill him, but he did not because it would send up too many red flags. The former Nazis in Argentina however, well, it was much easier to saunter out of a public house than private office in a bank with security. But, like a cat, Erik likes to play with his prey before finishing it off. He definitely learned to be a little sadistic along the way.
● above average intelligence; near genius levels, according to comic canon. It is not shown, but it is safe to assume that Erik goes on to study engineering and physics to better understand his abilities and what he can do with them. After encountering Charles, Erik will likely be more interested in the sciences as they pertain to his own abilities and uses thereof.
● polyglot; he is fluent in several languages (we specifically see English, German, French and Spanish, though we can also assume Russian, Polish, Hebrew, and probably Yiddish).
Notes; → He later becomes the self-proclaimed Master of Magnetism. At this point, however, he has only just realised the full potential of his abilities near the end of the canon, so he is actively experimenting and working toward that. I would say he is becoming more adept at large-scale manipulations, but has yet to discover using his powers on a subatomic scale. Additionally, his curiosity as his studies in electro-magnetics and physics progress will lead him to exploring organic iron (organic matter containing iron) manipulation, electro-magnetic spectrum manipulation, and any possible geomagnetic links. He is going to be a very busy man for the next 50-60 years. Obviously, this are very long-term goals.

Charles is the future leader of the X-Men, who - while similar to his older counterpart in some ways, is very different in most others. He is still growing into those shoes, and he is very well shaped by his experiences and his own mutation. The life that he led was very likely guided by the fact that he is different. He did, after all, chose to write his thesis on mutations for his Ph.D.
The most important things to note about Charles are his optimism and hope. Even from his youth -- just discovering that he was drastically different, Charles had the optimism that there were others in the world like himself (upon meeting Raven -- he seems so pleased and ecstatic that he was right, but you get the impression that even if he hadn't, he would have continued on believing it). Charles is driven by his desire to be accepted by society. Growing up with Raven (Mystique) was different for him -- as she is not physically normal and seemed to mention to him plenty that he had an easy enough time fitting in. He wanted a world where not only he could belong, but Raven and others like her could also fit in. Charles is someone who is extremely proud of who he is, and wants others to be proud as well. He has a strong hope that by continuing working, they will be accepted by average humans. Even after witnessing that the average humans would prefer that they all die (that they would declare war on them -- as per the end of the film), Charles is still hopeful that they can stand together. He believes the best in people. He spends much of the film trusting and befriending Erik Lehnsherr (Magneto), the man who would later not only put him in a wheelchair, but would become someone he struggles against constantly for the remaining portion of his life. Charles has belief that Erik can overcome rage, and can do the right thing until the very end. Charles assumes the positive of people, even with his ability. The fact that he can hear how people (humans) really think (for example, about how they want to kill them) and still think Mutants and humans can work together says a lot for his character.
Some may consider his hope and optimism naive, but Charles is very aware that in order to achieve his goals of unity and peace, that it will take extensive work. Something to consider, though, is that Charles is still young, and therefore he is naive in some respects, simply because he hasn't quite faced the struggles that others have. After all -- he grew up in a privileged home and got a PhD from Oxford. He never really had to fight for much of anything.
Charles is very bright (in fact, he has genius level intellect), and while naive, certainly not foolish. His pursuit of education and his constant curiosity and search for knowledge define him. Charles not only wants to meet other mutants, but he wants to know what their mutations are, and he wants to understand them. He takes great pride several times throughout the film when those who he is surrounding himself with are succeeding with their goals. He enjoys being a teacher and a role model or the others, which is something that he carries on throughout all of his life. Charles also is very willing to put himself under Cerebro, despite whatever pain it may cause, and not knowing the consequences of it, just to find others like him. He is willing to take risks for the pursuit of knowledge. And, of course, he does make quite an "adorable lab rat".
I wouldn't call him wise, either, though - not yet. The wisdom is something that certainly starts to develop after his accident. At the end of the film, he says that anonymity is an important thing about keeping the children that he wants to help stay safe. He uses that wisdom to know that it is best to remove Moira's memories, and he is willing to make that sacrifice.
Something else to understand about him is that he believes that people are the strongest when they are at peace with themselves and others. Throughout the film he encourages Erik to find a place between rage and serenity - to focus on good memories rather than bad to make himself stronger. Charles tells him that finding that place gives him the potential to be the strongest mutant (even stronger than himself, he admits). He is a confident individual who is very at peace with himself, and he wants others to find that in themselves.
He is a good-hearted person with heroic tendencies. Yes, we are all aware that he becomes Professor X, the leader and founder of the X-Men. He wants to help others like him, not only to understand their skills but to keep them safe. He is not afraid of tossing himself in the line of fire. At the end of the film, he throws himself in the line of fire to try and stop Erik from setting bombs towards humans which had fired upon them. Charles is not particular to who he helps - mutants and humans alike. He is someone who is very opposed to people dying needlessly. He's a peaceful person, and he does not approve of unnecessary fighting at this time. He would never, ever ask other people to sacrifice themselves for him, nor would he ever take back the sacrifices he's made for others. Later in his life, as Professor X, he is seen through multiple universes sacrificing himself for others, and I feel that is consistent with his personality represented in this film. Charles dove into the ocean after Erik, risking his life for a stranger. This leads me to think that because he is willing to risk himself for strangers, he truly would do anything for someone he cared deeply about.
In strictly social situations, Charles is friendly and approachable. People have an easy time talking to him and has an easy time talking to others. He is not afraid to approach any person that he should meet and spark up a conversation. People are shown to like him just as much as he truly likes them. He's not really someone who would start a fight. He's a social butterfly with seemingly few boundaries on who he approaches.
When Charles is older and has that immense amount of pride for both himself and others, he tries to have it in his youth, but hasn't quite reached that stage in his life. He is not perfectly accepting of Raven's other appearance, and he has difficulty still with others who happen to have a physical mutation as well. Charles tries very hard not to seem off-put by it, and he isn't really, but he hasn't come to peace with it in the same way that he has when he's older. Raven calls him out on it several times, and he does deny it, but he always seems more comfortable the more human and "normal" she looks.
Some people may have issue with him needlessly invading their minds, and rules need to be set up around him in order for him to be kept out. He's working on it, really. For some reason, Charles never figured out that telling someone that you know everything about them is definitely unsettling. He makes a lot of mistakes throughout the film, so basically what I'm driving at here is that Charles is far from perfect. He doesn't always say the right thing, and he doesn't always tell you what you want to hear. If you ask nicely, sure, Charles will stay out until he asks you permission to step into your mind.
He's learning, and one day - he will become what he is as Professor X - a calm, collected, and older man who has an understanding and acceptance for all beings. He will not be, in the future, particular on whether they have a mutation you can see or one you cannot. At this time, Charles is a just a good-hearted young man, who is just starting to pursue his hopes for unity among humans and mutants. He makes mistakes and he grows from them. He hopes to become a leader, and knows that he just needs to take it one step at a time.
Abilities: Powers; In one simple word: telepathy. But to simplify it like this, it would be almost unfair, it encompasses so many things: ⇨ mind-reading ; Self-explanatory: He is able to read other people's minds. It should be said he can go pretty far back pretty quickly and memories are there. (He tells Erik that he knows everything about him when they've just barely met.) ⇨ thought-projection ; I am not 100% certain on the correct verbiage for this. Charles is able to share his own thoughts with others. (ex: diving into the ocean, he was able to send Erik his thoughts of "Calm your mind, Erik.") ⇨ surfacing memory ; he is able to not only pull positive memories to the surface (as seen when training with Erik, he brings a childhood birthday to the front of his mind to calm him) ⇨ erasing memory ; is also able to erase memories (as shown by what he did to Moira at the end of canon) ⇨ perception alteration ; he is able to make himself unseen or seen differently by others (shown when he travels to Russia with Moria and Erik and makes them unseen in the back of a truck by soldiers) ⇨ commands ; he is able to issue commands and people will obey with the use of his skill (ie: go to sleep when they are in Russia has an immediate result of -- well, going to sleep). ⇨ empathy ; it is not fully explained how it works for him (in this film), but he is able to sense other mutants

Character Name: Epsilon, though canonly, he commonly goes by Leonard Church Character Series: Red vs. Blue Character Age: He's an AI, so age is kind of complicated. Mentally probably mid twenties. Background:RvB Wikia(Canon point note: Not taking him from end season 9. Taking him from partway through Season 9 episode 17 - Spiral)
Personality: Epsilon is at a glance, a rather egotistical jerk. Not as much as the AI that he is the memories of or the human that AI was based on originally, but still a jerk nonetheless. He's got a foul mouth, a kind of bad attitude, and a tendency to yell a lot and lose his temper. He's also probably one of the worst soldiers imaginable. He can't aim, he's lazy, and pretty bad overall with strategy. Epsilon is also very quick to come up with excuses for his own mistakes and bad aim. (Things like "The sun reflected off the rock.")
However, those are just on the surface. He's not nearly as bad as he might look at a glance. Even if he has a temper, he can be patient when needed, and he actually does seem to have some small amount of fondness for Caboose at times, as can be seen at the end of Season 8 with him saying goodbye before entering the capture unit.
Another issue Epsilon has, but it's not exactly odd considering who he hangs out out with? He's really not very good at dealing with women. Well, normal women, anyway. That may be due to the fact that his canon on screen experience to date with women consists of mainly Tex, who is more manly than most of the men in the series. Considering Epsilon has actually on more than one occasion called the person that's supposed to be his girlfriend a stupid bitch on her initially arriving in the memory in the capture unit.
However, as a fragment of the Alpha, he has an odd sort of devotion to trying to finish dealing with the problem that the Director and the Alpha could never quite manage to find the solution to. The problem of the person that came along for the ride when Alpha was made. Allison. And if he couldn't he was supposed to pass it on to the next iteration of the cycle. Though in the end, he shows a lot more maturity than might be expected, finally finding the way to truly break the cycle. He's more mature in that than either the Director or the AI he was made from. He accepted in the end that letting go was the real solution.
Abilities: Epsilon is an AI fragment belonging to project Freelancer. As of the point I'm taking him from, he's technically trapped in a unit that is basically a virtual world made of his own memories.
As for abilities... Besides being an AI with extremely limited transferring abilities(In canon, it appears he lacks the abilities to freely jump hosts of some of the others.
I guess if you want capabilities though, he knows how to use a sniper rifle... Badly. He can't hit a rock from relatively close, and he thought at first that zoom function was activated by yelling zoom at the rifle.

Character Name: Saber a.k.a Nero Claudius Caesar Augustus Germanicus. Character Series: Fate/Extra Character Age: About 30, looks in her late teens. Background:
Saber’s role in the Grail War is a pretty standard one, considering she is one of three eligible characters. She aids her Master in defeating the other seven Masters and ultimately face off the Big Boss with him, after which the Main Character makes his/her wish and Saber is simply “deleted” to be called forth on other Grail War. While the story varies a bit depending on the Servant, this is mostly related to the way the Servant interacts with the Master. In Saber’s case, she’s at a constant game of tease and “tsun”, eventually revealing her identity to him and constantly reassuring him that choosing her was the best thing he could have done.
Personality:
What do you think when you think of Nero? If you know Nero, that is, and even worse, the material about the Emperor varies depending on who’s writing about him (her from now on), as some people considered her to be a soulless tyrant, while others saw her as a true ruler for the people. Whatever the case, Saber’s past paints her as a caring but often misunderstood ruler; Nero truly cared from those under her reign, and always strived to make them live “as if they were in heaven” with a happiness that would last about three lifetimes. The fact she focuses on the people and not in those ruling usually caused her problems, and it’s most likely a factor of why she was recorded in such a negative light at times.
She’s caring and compassionate, but at the same time styles herself as an “artist” of sorts; before taking a spot of politic prominence Nero was fully advocated to the arts, and as such considers herself to be an intellectual and a being of superior intellect when compared with others. This might make her quite arrogant at times, condescending, even, but she truly does care about others. It’s just that sometimes it’s too easy to show off, and she’s easily tempted to do so. She’s the very first to praise someone, though, and rarely lets jealously get the better of her; being awesome like she is she couldn’t possibly far that low, could she now?
Saber has a quick understanding of others’ feelings, and a healthy amount of self confidence; she’s not easily swayed by other’s words, and enjoys conversational people willing to discuss about the most trivial matters with her. She considers the time she was born was too undeveloped by her, and claims that most of her works of art were usually misunderstood or not understood at all, something that greatly bothered her, as she was (and still is) constantly looking for recognition and approval.
While she’s a bit of a tease at heart, Saber is moderately easy to get flustered and embarrassed (read “angry”) when faced with actual feelings or the prospective of receiving them; she’s quite the tsundere about this, although she tends to think that because of the way she shows herself she must be pretty intimidating and that people won’t really approach her like that. She’s right up to some point, actually, but is still unsure of how she feels about it. When it comes to people she has shared much though, Saber is a lot less discrete, and goes into the realm of teasing for fun and profit if allowed to. Not that she can’t be taken by surprise and get her tsun on.
Abilities:
Saber is a Servant, a Heroic Spirit and the highest level of spiritual entity that exists. After she died her soul was preserved for the relevance of her actions while alive. Heroic Spirits are all superior in almost every imaginable way to humans; faster, stronger, more resilient, with more stamina. They can heal from most conventional damage without even blinking. They kick ass, plus they can go incorporeal if they so wish.
Saber in particular has control over several fire element spells, as well as possessing a Noble Phantasm that makes the times of a Reality Marble, a dimension within herself that she can impose on reality to use it on her advantage.

Character Name: Amelia Wil Tesla Seyruun Character Series: Slayers Character Age: 16 Background: Amelia's Wiki page is mostly personal background. However, this page gives synopses for the first three anime series. Personality: The biggest thing one will first notice about Amelia is that she is a ridiculous champion of JUSTICE - if there is evil afoot, she will go out of her way to punish it, and protect those in need! Granted, she botches this a lot - there's been times that she's completely missed the enemy, or attacked the victim by mistake, or goes after the wrong person, or been completely useless... The list goes on. However, she does not let this deter her! Second only to her sense of JUSTICE is Amelia's unbreakable will! No matter how many times she fails, no matter the odds of success, and no matter if she's completely outclassed - she'll still take on anyone who attempts evil things!
Though...this is something of a front - Amelia is quite aware that of her traveling companions, she's the weakest one. She strives to get stronger to continue to be useful to the group as a whole, and does this by balancing her repitoire of magic with various Shamanism spells so that she's not simply "the cleric", as well as picking up some hand-to-hand skills due to her dislike of weapons. She also serves as the morale-booster of the group, though her rampant enthusiasm often falls on deaf (and annoyed) ears. (She's so damn upbeat that she alone can use her positivity to cripple the party's periodic high-ranking demon ally, Xellos.) She's definitely the perky little sister of the group. This also covers up a fair bit of angst she has over her mother having been assassinated when she was younger, as well as her older sister leaving home shortly after. On top of all that, a fair number of her family members have made assassination attempts on her father to try and claim the throne of Seyruun that he currently occupies.
During her calmer times, however, Amelia's quite the nice girl - very sympathetic to the problems of others, and means very well - however, she does have a tendency to judge people based on initial appearances, despite attesting that doing so is a bad thing. After all, nobody's perfect. She's generally very responsible, as she's learned to be as a princess of her home country of Seyruun - and does her best to encourage her traveling companions to take responsibility when they lack it. However, she finds it hard, if not impossible to turn down charity, even if someone takes advantage of it - the most someone will get in that event is a mild scolding. She also values honesty, sometimes to the point of being pretty blunt.
She does not abuse any kind of power she might have, unless it is absolutely necessary - in all of her adventures, she only pulled the "I am a princess, so let me through" card three times - once to talk to prisoners to get information on an incident that put a great many people in danger, once to the guards of her own palace so she could pass through, and once to enter a sports tournament in the name of assisting a friend in need. She's also very polite, addressing both friends and (most) foes with Mister or Miss.
Abilities: Amelia is skilled various kinds of magic - primarily the White and Shamanistic schools of her homeworld, and I've listed the majority of spells she's shown using here. She's also got very good balance at standing on small/narrow surfaces, and has some decent hand-to-hand combat skill.

Personality:Byakuran is a very happy go lucky kind of person. He also plays at being more childish than he is, his acting even bordering toward the seemingly innocent trait. He is far from innocent, however, and he mostly have this attitude on the surface. He is a constantly smiling sadist, who can, to a certain extent, control people's minds. He is skilled in manipulating people simply by speaking, twisting truths and inventing very plausible lies.
He is the kind of person who can kill off his subordinates without a second thought because he is of the opinion that they have served their purpose, even after fooling them into believing in him with all their soul. This is what happened with Genkishi, whom he saved from an incurable disease with his knowledge from the parallell worlds. After this, Genkishi followed him blindly, only to be killed by Byakuran after Genkishi was defeated in battle two times in a row. He can even have a kind smile on his face after a fight including quite a lot of gore. Take for example the time when Rokudo Mukuro infiltrated Millefiore's headquarters, as Byakuran's oblivious assistant. Byakuran knew of it almost from the beginning, but let him be because he thought it was interesting and wanted to see how it played out. He is quite sadistic, and enjoy seeing people in pain. Even while severely wounding Mukuro's eye, he was smiling without it faltering in the least.
Although his ruthlessness, however, he still shows a carefree, familiar attitude towards his subirdinates. Most of all towards Irie Shoichi, even though he knew that his officer had betrayed him, and was working with the enemy. This concerns the people that interests him, and he will be quite nice towards them. Once he gets tired of them, he does not hesitate killing them.
Byakuran almost never seems to get angry, irritated or stressed out. However when he does get angry, he wears a smile on his lips, all while his eyes are cold as ice. If he is not smiling at all out of annoyance, he is stuffing his face full of marshmallows.
During fights, Byakuran never seem to use his full strength. This is because he tends to look down upon his opponents, which can also cause him to underestimate them. In the start of the battle against Sawada Tsunayoshi, whom he saw as a very weak opponent, he used far from his full potential. He is able to use all of his power once his White Wings are ripped off, and they are replaced by the Black Wings, that are created from his own blood.
Abilities: Byakuran is mentally connected to every other Byakuran living in the separate parallel universes. This knowledge is utilized as a battle advantage.
Sky Mare Ring: Byakuran is capable of firing bolts of energy from the Ring and has several White Dragons that appear to grow from it, to aid him when fighting.
White Dragon: The White Dragon is Byakuran's Box Weapon. It was made with the highly advanced technology of the Millefiore Famiglia and is exclusively for him.
Black Dragon: The Black Dragon is a Box Animal used by Byakuran. Unlike the White Dragon, the Black Dragon is able to split and multiply, making it harder for the enemy to avoid attacks.
Ghost: Ghost has the ability to drain the Dying Will Flames of all those who are close by, however, he is also a version of Byakuran brought from another parallel world. As such, Byakuran can steal any Dying Will Flames Ghost absorbs and make them his own, greatly increasing his speed, stamina, and attack power.
Wings: The White Wings are made of Dying Will Flames and gives Byakuran the ability to fly. Once torn off they grow back as a black pair capable of morphing into claws.
White Applause: Byakuran can negate any attack by clapping his hands. This attack requires a certain degree of power to match the opponent's attack.
White Finger: Byakuran simply focuses Sky Flames from his ring and launches a powerful shockwave type attack that blasts his opponent with tremendous force.
Transparent Giant Hand: Byakuran is able to create a giant hand which is linked to his own, to capture the enemy from a distance.
Black Flame Attack: Byakuran back has roots shoot out from his feet and plant themselves on the ground in order to stabilize him. Next Byakuran concentrates Black Flames from his hand which rotates at an extremely high speed and then releases them as a blast.
Healing: Due to the vast knowledge he gained from the Parallel Worlds, Byakuran knows extensive healing techniques. His skill in this area is so great that he could completely heal a person who's condition is critical enough for regular doctors to give up hope

Personality: Like many Alderaanians, Bail is a firm believer in peace. Throughout the Clone Wars, he frequently pushed for a diplomatic solution to the conflict. Despite being repeatedly thwarted in his efforts to resolve the situation, he never ceased pushing for peace. He is a skilled negotiator and expert public speaker and many believed that if anyone could make it happen, it would be him.
Bail is well known for being a voice of reason in the Senate. He is capable of seeing both sides of many issues and adept at bringing both sides together to a workable compromise. This does not, however, mean he is a doormat. He realizes that there are limits to compromise and is not afraid to take a stand. This drive for justice will eventually lead to him founding the Rebel Alliance, though that is still many years off.
When he does take a stand, he demonstrates an incredibly strong will. As the Republic slowly morphed into the Empire, he was a frequent voice of dissent. Despite his long tenure in the Senate, he has never allowed power to corrupt him. A rare trait, in Republic politics. It should also be noted that while he believes in peace, calling him a pacifist would be going too far. He is willing to fight to defend himself and, more importantly, others. It is simply not his first choice of action.
Generally, when he does take a stand it is motivated by compassion. Alderaanian culture places a high value on all life. It is thus no surprise that he spent the majority of the Clone Wars lobbying for the plight of refugees. He did not want the war destroying the lives of the very people it was supposed to protect. Nor was he willing to see the Republic become something other than
Much like a certain speech, Bail loves democracy and loves the Republic. Unlike that speech, it's actually true. While he was aware of the incredible problems with corruption in the Senate, he felt the stability it brought was important to galactic peace. This led to an intense loyalty to the Jedi due to their role as galactic peacekeepers. Seeing the horrors wrought by Palpatine's Empire only reinforced this belief. And he was not afraid to bring this up.
In addition to his public persona, Bail is also a devoted family man. He deeply loves his wife Breha and wished for a long time to start a family with her. He is a devoted, affectionate father to his young daughter Leia. And will be... rather surprised to find her all grown up. Her true parentage has never caused him much concern, as he thinks of her simply as his little girl.

Character Name: Austria - Roderich Edelstein Character Series: Hetalia: Axis Powers / World Series Character Age: A few hundred years old. Appears as being about five or six years old.
Austria began as a margraviate called Ostmark, fortified against the Magyar offenses. The Magyars and other ethnic groups established Austria's rival, Hungary. The two were created to fight with one another and Hungary took over Austria easily, due to a huge military advantage. Things stayed like this for a while until finally Hungary was defeated and Austria wiggled out from under her.
After the defeat of Hungary in 955, a Marche called marchia Orientalis was created and became the foothold of Austria's existence. By 976 he came into his own as a personification going by the name of Ostarrichi . Slowly he began to acquire a population and in 996 his people bestowed upon him the name of Österreich, or Austria, which is the name he is known by today.
Austria's growth and personality developed over the next few centuries as his people settled his lands and elevated his to that of a duchy ruled by a family known as the Babenberg Dukes. They were an influential and powerful family in the region and he benefited greatly from their rule until death of their last remaining heir causing their line to go extinct in 1246. The were instrumental in Austria gaining Vienna as his capital city in 1156, capturing England's king Richard the I in exchange for a ransom in 1192, and using the ransom money in 1194 to fund a fortress to defend herself against Hungary and her advances.
After the Babenbergs died out, Austria went through a period of several decades known as his interregnum, during which his legitimacy as a country was disputed. Then in 1278, after the battle of Dürnkrut and Jedenspeigen, the Habsburg Monarchy took control over him and proceeded to rule him for the next 640 years of her existence changing everything.
Austria became quite friendly with Switzerland at this time, interacting with him as an ally now that they shared the same Hapsburg ruler. They cooperated very well together during the Austro Swiss partnership. Austria granted the Switzerland military protections in exchange for Switzerland's allegiance and the two co-existed happily. Despite Austria's shortcomings in fulfilling his obligations to Switzerland regarding his military abilities, Switzerland upheld his allegiance. He loved the Hapsburgs ruler and would go to any length to serve him, even if it meant putting up with Austria.
While Switzerland found Austria's shortcomings and naivete annoying and hated having to continually bail him out of confrontations with the surrounding nations, the two shared a certain camaraderie between them and grew to be very close. Austria considered Switzerland to be his best friend, and strived to be as strong and useful as he was.
As time went on however, Switzerland became frustrated with the Hapsburgs and their favoritism of Austria over himself. The Hapsburgs considered Austria the heart of their realm, even though Switzerland had been their place of origin and the original land of their affection. Pretty baffled by how they could ever love someone as useless and hopeless as Austria, Switzerland started to get slightly bitter over their preferential treatment of him.
When a new Hapsburg ruler took the throne Switzerland's and Austria's relationship fissured beyond repair. Austria's boss believed that Switzerland was Austrian territory, instead of regarding him as an independent ally. He began to tax Switzerland's people, which Switzerland did not appreciate in the slightest. Then he began to appoint Vogts to govern Switzerland, even though Austria and Switzerland were supposed to be separate entities.
Finally having had enough, Switzerland kicked the Hapsburgs and Austria out the home they'd shared together. Deeply hurt by Switzerland's betrayal, Austria went into a perpetual downward spiral. Suddenly sobered by the loss of Switzerland, Austria's personality deeply shifted becoming morose and hesitant to trust anyone so openly and affectionately again. It took Austria a long time to recover from this.
I'd like to pull Austria from just before Switzerland expelled Austria and the Hapsburgs from their shared home together in Switzerland.
Personality:
Austria's personality as a child differs sharply from that of his adult personality, not yet burdened by his country's hardships. Austria is very cheerful and optimistic about his people and his new rulers. He always tries putting his best foot forward no matter what. He knows what his responsibilities and duties are and tries his hardest to succeed even though he rarely if ever meets the expectations set out for him.
He's a terrible failure at what he was created to be, a warrior, but he keeps striving to do better. He's clumsy and weak, he has virtually no sense of direction or sense of battle prowlness and he's easily distracted by things he finds visually and physically appealing. He's absolutely no competition for the nations around him and he rarely if ever wins against them.
He's so bad at it, however that his current goal is not even to win a battle, but to just make it home from one on his own two feet. He enjoys calmer activities like art and music and other things the Hapsburgs have introduced him to and would prefer to put more of himself into those sorts of things. However, the times he's being brought up in prevent him from doing that.
Austria has a very mellow personality compared to other nations at this time. After being terribly wounded in battle, he'll laugh about how terrible he did. This is a sharp contrast to the seriousness of his friend Switzerland who constantly scolds him over his lackadaisy behavior. It's not that he doesn't take his losses to heart, he just is optimistic that he'll do better next time and if not he always has Switzerland to fall back on.
He often feels like a burden on his friend Switzerland, but he thinks that as long as he keeps trying that it's okay because they're friends. He believes that if he keeps working at it that someday if Switzerland should fail, that he'll be able to be the one to pick him up and carry him home.
Abilities:
Created to fight Austria was raised to be a warrior and trained in combat and weaponry. Unfortunately he's never shown much aptitude for it and usually ends up having his ass handed to him on the battlefield. He doesn't let that keep him down though and sticks with his training… for the most part. He prefers using a sword, but he's pretty clumsy with it and wishes it was a little more lightweight. He has even less aptitude with a bow an arrow, always missing his marks. He's terrible in hand to hand combat as well, even when you consider how outclassed he is with opponents like the Teutonic Knights and Hungary.
Regardless of how useless he seems to be incredibly endearing to the Hapsburgs as he's managed to worm his way into their hearts despite his numerous failings. Switzerland lacks this ability, despite being the original land of the Hapsburgs' affections and it's begun to make him slightly bitter towards Austria. He fails to understand how some one who is so completely hopeless at what they were created to do has managed to become so endearing. He also shows some aptitude for more peaceful activities, like baking and cooking and appreciating art and music. He'd much rather devote himself to those activities, but he knows how important his training and ability to fight is and tries to put them at the forefront.
As a nation, Austria has a different life expectancy from that of a human being. He can only cease to exist if his country, culture and people do as well. That being said, he is able to withstand serious injury and pain without death and recover more quickly than a human being. However his health is susceptible to her national climate, his national economy, and general mood and health of his people. His age also does not correlate with his physical appearance and changes based on his national growth and deficiencies.

Character Name: Yoshiya Kiryu, goes by Joshua Character Series: The World Ends With You Character Age: Looks 15, is really who knows how old Background:Game canon
Very little is known about Joshua's history; the game drops hints here and there, but they come from extremely unreliable sources. From what we can piece together (and again, it's highly possible that everything is a lie), Joshua has always been mature beyond his years, even as a child. This was largely due to the fact that he could see things no one else could, people running around Shibuya that no one else noticed, fighting bizarre monsters. It's likely that he could even see alternate realities. This ability granted him an enormous amount of wisdom, but also isolated him from the rest of his peers. The only person who he could really talk to was the shopkeeper, Mr Hanekoma. Hanekoma informed him that what he was seeing was the Underground, where the souls of the dead gathered and played the Reaper's Game, a trial that judged these souls and determined what would happen to them afterwards.
For Joshua, who was bored and disgusted with real life, the Reaper's Game sounded like heaven. It's unknown how, when, or even if he died, but he was probably around fifteen when he joined the Underground. Somehow, Joshua managed to dispose of the Composer – an astounding feat, as the Composer basically acts as the god of a city – and take over his job, recreating the Game and ruling over the dead.
All of the preceding is just speculation based on the little information Hanekoma let slip, and again, there's absolutely no way to trust what he's saying. Here's what we do know: at some point into being a Composer, Joshua grew so disgusted with Shibuya that he planned on obliterating it. His subordinate begged him not to, so Joshua agreed to play a game for Shibuya's survival. However, because the power discrepancy between the two was so incredibly high, Joshua would retreat to the RealGround, which would significantly limit his abilities, and pick a proxy to play for him in the Reaper's Game. His subordinate would have one month to eliminate his proxy or lose. Long story short, Joshua won. However, because his proxy, a boy who had been the most uncaring and selfish person in all of Shibuya, had changed so much to the point where he couldn't kill his treacherous partner to save the city and his own life, Joshua regained his hope in people and spared Shibuya after all. The game ends with a shot of Joshua, in his angelic form, watching over his former partners, unable to join them.
Personality: Smug, condescending, and snobby, Joshua makes no effort to hide just how irritating he is. Most people want to punch him within the first two minutes of meeting him. This is no accident; Joshua loves to rile people up for amusement's sake and will deliberately be as annoying as possible just to mess with their heads. It doesn't help that he's also extremely intelligent and insightful, as getting him to share said insight is a nearly impossible task. Ask him a question and his response will be vague, nonsensical, and probably bullshit. Joshua's even cryptic when he lies – and he lies. A lot. Perhaps not blatantly, but most of what he says can be quite misleading. Getting a truthful answer out of him is not at all like pulling teeth, because at least teeth come out eventually.
For Joshua, everything is a game, including his and other people's survival. And he knows quite well how to play the game; he has the ability to predict and manipulate people so well that even if something goes wrong with his plan, he'll still come out on top in the end. He'll keep his enemies close solely for entertainment value; whether it's because he's arrogant enough to ignore the threat, or just doesn't care at all about his own life, is unknown (although it's probably a bit of both). There's very little that can affect his calm; on the rare occasions when he does show frustration, it's likely just an act. He also shows a great disdain for boredom; boredom means stagnation, and stagnation is one of the worst things that can happen to a city or to a person in his eyes.
All that being said and done, there is a certain depth to Joshua's personality that many people miss. Despite the attitude, he's actually very mature and probably quite lonely. He likes to push people away and claim that everyone's better off alone, but that's actually the opposite of what he really believes; after all, the current Game, which he created the rules for, depends almost entirely on how much the Players trust their partners. Loners won't last for very long in Joshua's Shibuya; hell, he nearly destroyed the entire city because he was so disgusted by the selfishness of the people living there. And in his own subtle, irritating, often unhelpful way, he tries to get other people to open up their views of the world. And while he does enjoy riling people up and making them uncomfortable, most of what he says is meant to push them beyond what they are now.
So just what kind of God is he? (And keep in mind that at this point, this is all pure headcanon, since the game is so enigmatic about Joshua's true motives.) Loving and compassionate are not exactly the first words that come to mind when one thinks of Shibuya's Composer - this is the guy who shot and murdered an innocent kid in the middle of a street . . . and did it with a smile. But he's not cruel or power-hungry, either; everything he does, he does for the what he believes to be the good of humanity, even if it's as extreme as destroying an entire city. There's almost something Darwinist about his views - he will try his hardest to get others to open up, to experience life for all it's wonders, to appreciate what they have and live in the moment . . . but if they're too stubborn, too blind to break out of their little bubbles, he'll watch them die and become Noise without batting an eye. And the same goes for himself - Joshua may not be quite the same as a nation-tan, but the fact remains that Shibuya grew so selfish and corrupt under his control . . . and that by destroying it, he would essentially have been committing suicide.
Abilities: Within Shibuya's Underground, Joshua's basically an omnipotent god. In the RealGround and away from the city, though, his abilities decrease by a lot; however, he's still fairly powerful. He can levitate, use telekinesis to drop various objects on people, summon beams of holy energy that grow depending on how long he has to set it up, and with the right partner, drop a freaking meteor onto Earth. He has some basic control over the laws of physics - when someone tried to shoot him, all of the bullets from the gun simply hit a barrier and clattered uselessly to the ground. He can also see and travel to alternate realities, which gives him a form of precognition - the future he sees isn't set in stone, so much as it is a similar alternate reality. He can also scan and imprint on minds, although again, this power is likely decreased by a lot outside of Shibuya. Also, he has a sparkly adult form.

Character Name: Saori Nakagawa Character Age: 28 physically, 80 mentally Background: Saori’s living world is modeled after our current world. However, her world also contains gods, spirits, ghosts and other supernatural creatures. Humans rarely encounter them in plain sight, but their actions can influence the human realm such as ‘spirited away’ cases, people going insane or unsolved homicide cases. Lowly spirits can increase their powers and sometimes evolve by consuming strong emotions. Because of this, they often harass humans they see as a potential meal until they are ripe for eating. In the case they devour strong negative emotions and/or human flesh, they evolve into mononoke.
Saori's parents moved to Kyoto when her mom was still pregnant with her. The move happened because her father got a new job there. Her mother was a homemaker while her father worked at a university, as a literature professor. Three years later, Akira was born. All was good until Akira was 4 and Saori was 7, when their mother got sick. Her health began to deteriorate until she finally passed away. That left Saori to basically become the caretaker of the house. Her father was devastated with the lost of his wife and his children's mother so the depression began to set in.
One year later, the father went to work but never returned. She vividly remembers walking to the train station with him where they departed to take their own trains. (Saori would later find out he was devoured by a mononoke and later kills it, but she was too late to retrieve and purify his soul.) Their grandmother who lived nearby took them in. When her age made it difficult to raise them to her best of her skills, Saori took over.
In high school, grandmother thought showing her around Kyoto’s Gion district might convince her to become a geiko, an apprentice geisha. After a traditional tea ceremony, she ended up falling in love with tea instead. During her whatever spare time she does have, she looks for new books (specifically on ghost/paranormal subjects) or manga, or buying different kinds of tea.
Her curiosity about the supernatural started when she was little. Her father worked until his disappearance on translating several folklore from classical Japanese language to the modern version. While Akira would be scared out of his wits by some of the stories, Saori would always ask for more. Her love for folklore is later reflected in her college work.
Saori eventually graduated high school and attended a college in Osaka. She even studied abroad in America for a year. She graduated college with a degree in English. However it wasn't without a hitch. A week before her graduation, Akira disappeared. There was a police search, but with no leads, it quickly became a cold case.
Saori worked in a publication company after graduation, specializing in translation work for three years, but found the work to be not as satisfying over time. She got her projects done on time, but there other things that bothered her. It was mostly the social pressure she felt from her higher ups. She was already past 25 and still not married. She already saw countless co-workers come and go as soon as they found a suitable husband to marry. It was then Grandmother suggested she maybe do something she liked: cooking. So she began to plan out making a cafe.
One day, she was visiting the Fushimi-Inari temple in Kyoto. As she climbed up the stairs to the main building, she heard the sounds of little bells chiming. Thinking it was nothing, she continued. Then the chimes got louder and louder as she went up until he finally looked back. That was the last anyone ever heard from Saori. She’s captured by a Nopperabou, a faceless mononoke who has taken her deep in the neighboring mountain side.
It's explained that mononoke grow from the weaker ayakashi when they feed on a human's strongest emotion. In most cases, it's a very bad thing. In exchange for the power boost, they lose their identity. However there is a way to overcome this. If they consume a soul of someone who despite many hardships occurring in their life are still pure, not only does their power increase but their lifespan increases as well without losing their identity.
The Nopperabou is able to pull away her soul from her body. A man by the name of Tenjou arrives to take it down but it’s too late. The Mononoke pins down Saori’s soul and eats her physical body in front of her and Tenjou. The man finishes the creature but the damage is done. Tenjou then decides to take her to see Inari, his father, about her options since she died prematurely according how much time was left in her lifespan. And while she is able to be reincarnated, she wouldn’t be able to do very soon. The next chance she’s able to be reborn won’t be for another century. A soul without a body must reside in the supernatural realm for extra protection against Mononoke.
The realm of supernatural is known as Kuukan. All souls return here after living their most recent past life and wait to be reincarnated onto the next. There are judges who determine, based on the deeds they did, their next incarnation, when they will be reborn and where they can stay as they wait. If they wish to be reborn into something better, ie human or above, they can use the wait period to tip the odds in their favor and ask for a second judgment.
Kuukan in general is a chop suey of cultures and time periods. While firearms of today’s caliber can be found, magic tends to be the most effective manner of combat when it arrives. Since wait period between incarnations can be quite long, it’s not uncommon for souls to develop “another life” such as creating a family or starting a new business.
The realm is split into “districts” even though they are about the size of a small densely populated country. There are four main districts, which transitional areas between. The First District belongs to the deities from past and present mythologies. Said deities are not immortal and are subject to the rules of reincarnation as well. Because of this, the name of the gods are more of legacy title that’s passed on to those the predecessor finds worthy to share. While it’s possible for one person to carry that title like Tenjou’s father, many prefer to share the title with their spouse. It not only serves a check and balance system but its said there extra benefits like power boosts and extra abilities exclusive to those who share titles. They work in sync with each other to decide what events will occur Those who work under them reside in both the First and Second Districts. Majority of the Second Districts are souls or supernatural creatures whose good deeds outweigh the bad. The biggest district is the third district. It can be considered a “purgatory” where those deemed as neutral reside. It serves as the gateway and orientation center for souls returning from the living world. The final and currently the fast growing area is the Fourth District. Hell is a common name for it. It’s home to souls, ayakashi, and malicious supernatural creatures. Unlike the other districts, because of its rapid increase, security at the borders is much more restricted.
Inari decides that Saori can stay under Tenjou's care. After touring around Kuukan and staying with Tenjou, she realizes his purpose. He’s the leader of Inari's elite corps dedicated to protecting both the living and souls in Kuukan from being eaten by ayakashi who want to be mononoke. In the past century, the influx of souls returning from their time in the living realm has decreased due to the rogue supernatural creatures consuming said souls. The problem with that is two fold for another reason. Souls that were consumed by them are forcibly removed from the cycle and new souls are extremely hard to produce and only arrive in small batches every fifty years or so. With mononoke consuming at a rate faster than production, this throws the balance between the living realm and Kuukan off. This became a great concern to many of the gods. Inari was the one who spearheaded the creation of the corps and other gods have given their support to it.
Saori comes to a decision to help Tenjou so more people won't suffer the same fate as her. Tenjou objected but eventually gives in. She goes through training with Pluto, the corps second-strongest, and it would take her a few years until she got Inari's blessing and joined in the corps. During her training, Saori learned when souls are not attached to a living body they can tap into their innate powers. They can vary from purification to manipulation of elements. In her case, she can manipulate smoke to take on forms her will. While she can use different types of smoke, her strongest affinity is for smoke from lit incense. Plus its purifying abilities make it a better anti-ayakashi/mononoke weapon.
Inari would later reveal to Saori that his ‘name’ is technically a title and has to be passed down to his son but traditionally the title of a god was shared by someone so he must marry if he intends to inherit. Fortunately over the years of working together Tenjou proposes to Saori. And while they have their duties as gods to fulfill prayers of the various sorts, they often go out to deal with the constant mononoke problem. This is where I’m pulling Saori from.
