Fitting in proved to be a key factor to getting by in this place, so Erik wasn't about to miss the Sunday services. How long had it been since he'd attended to his own neglected faith? It wasn't as if there was a synagogue up the street if he wanted to, which he didn't.
The preacher seemed to go on for hours and Erik tuned him out almost completely. The only thing he was listening for was a signal that it was coming to an end. When it came, Erik eagerly navigated the throng to the exit and sighed again, much to the chagrin of some other members of the congregation. ]
