Along with Sweden and Norway, Denmark was among those known as the Vikings. In the 8th-11th centuries they were the rebels of the world and they used their unique skills to get ahead of others and claim their lands. Among these skills were shipbuilding, excellent navigational abilities and crafty tradesman ways. In this time, Denmark is a brash young adult who is eager to fight and succeed. Unlike the Denmark of the Modern ages, this guy has a fierce temper that he rarely keeps in check. He’s extremely bossy and rarely listens to suggestions or orders from others, he trusts his own volition above other’s and doesn’t feel the need to hear advice.
Like any Denmark, he seems to lack the ability to stop and think things through. Occasionally his headstrong feistiness can come in handy, particularly in battle, but sometimes he can weigh too much on himself and go belly up. These are the times when having level headed friends like Norway and Sweden are important. Despite this, he’s doing quite well for himself with his two step plan. The steps? Raid and Conquer. With some minor details in between. He has settlements in a number of European countries and he is not a pleasant house guest. The Denmark of this time is first and foremost a bully. He knows what he wants and he will either manipulate his way toward it or he will fight for it. He’s charismatic and charming and he’ll smile even as he burns down a village. His cheerful disposition is still abound, but he’s determined enough to focus and be serious when the time comes.
