Personality: When most people first meet Prince, as she is most commonly called, she seems like either a very scary or a really cool person. When she is annoyed, she shows no mercy, and when she is annoyed she tends to give anyone that irritates (as well as others nearby) a headbutt that makes the other person drop to the floor from the pain. It doesn't matter if that person is a boy or a girl, she will hit a girl just as hard as she would hit a boy. She is the type to gain control through violence, as shown when she first appears at Shibuya Mansion, easily getting control of the other residents. Even Sakura was a bit scared of her, but that was quickly melted away when she notice that this isn't all when it comes to Rui. Since she has 'very manly' manners (as Yuuki put it), she is mistaken for a man when she first appears.
Because even though her exterior is very tough and merciless, Rui is a very kind person, and is much like a mother or older sister to her fellow housemates at Shibuya mansion. This is first noticed the morning after she shows up, when the rest wakes up to a clean mansion, breakfast on the table and washed laundry and dishes. She hides that right away however, by ordering the others around and giving them harsh verbal treatment (and headbutts).
Rui is extremely shy. At the slightest compliment, as seen when Sakura tells her “and you’re actually really really kind, but just can't express it properly”, she will headbutt anything (like people, walls, Puppy...) near her, a blush exploding on her face. A blush so dark that her entire face, and even her normally blue hair, turns red. She is awkward with words, and doesn't know how to express herself, just like Sakura pointed out. Instead of showing her kindness to everyone, she boss the ones she care for around, without showing any kindness at all. People fear making her embarrassed more than they fear making her angry, which is seen the same time you first see her getting embarrassed. Mostly because her headbutting is even more violent and frequent when she is, proved by her destroying entire walls while doing it.
She is also very caring, and values people very high. After headbutting people out of annoyance, she will often make sure to help them with what it was that caused them to annoy her in the first place. One example of this is when Yuuki destroyed parts of the house (and barging into the kitchen while she was preparing breakfast) by rolling around on the floor. She headbutts him (and Toki), and then goes ahead to carefully clean out his ears, that turned out to be full of water. Even though she is cool and can be scary, she will always take good care of everyone she cares about. She doesn’t want to hurt those important to her, even when she doesn’t have a choice, like the case with Hiyori, who wanted to kill Rui for being a traitor for becoming leaving the Re:Codes and becoming a Code:Breaker. However she was saved by Yuuki’s actions and words, prompting her to give herself the same injury he got while protecting her, because she blamed herself for it. Thanks to him she is able to fight her former ally, although she doesn’t kill her. This shows her devotion towards those in her past, whom she cares about just as much as the ones who are there for her right now.
She is somewhat of an alcoholic, always carrying a pocket flask in the back-pocket of her jeans, that she frequently drinks from. If someone takes her booze away from her, she won’t be very happy with whoever took it. It seems like it takes a lot for her to get drunk by actual drinking however, but like all other power users, get drunk by the scent of Sakura (cherry blossoms). When she’s drunk on sakura, she acts like a giggling little girl, even to the extent of calling herself in the cutesy way ‘RuiRui’. When drunk, she has no problem showing affection, telling everyone that she loves them.
