Claire is a sensible girl and a bit mature for her age. It can appear as if she makes rash decisions (such as leaving the country to infiltrate a high-security building in search of her brother despite having no training in combat beyond the little Chris taught her), but Claire's a quick thinker and knows how to get out of a bad situation. When confronted by a room full of armed guards, Claire pretended to surrender, but at the last minute dropped to the ground and shot at the tanks of gas at the back of the room. This action stunned all of the men. While Claire did get captured anyway, she was definitely tenacious and smart in her endeavors.
Still, Claire is just a teenager and is susceptible to getting emotional at times. She often showed disgust when confronted with many of the monsters she'd seen. She often felt for the people she saw who were dead and of course cried when Steve died. Claire can get rather annoyed with jokes or attitudes she finds particularly rude. When Steve initially brushed her off and denied her offer of working together, Claire rolled her eyes, a bit outraged that someone would act so rudely in the middle of a zombie outbreak. Claire has also shown to get rather angry with arrogant individuals or those who abuse their positions of power. It seems those who are callous are likely to receive her ire.
If it wasn't obvious, Claire loves and idolizes her brother, Chris. It's implied that their parents died when they were young and that they are the only family they have. While Chris joined the US Air Force and eventually a police force called S.T.A.R.S., Claire instead opted to go to university. Her prowess with guns and knives in combat is indicative that she has trained with Chris on occasion. The pair have looked out for each other for all their lives, and when Chris eventually went missing in 1998, Claire was quick to hop on her motorcycle and travel to Raccoon City in search of him. Claire will no doubt always be there for her brother.
Abilities: Through Chris, Claire received training and lectures in firearm usage and knife combat, making her a highly accurate shot and fairly skilled in close quarters combat. In addition to this, her manual dexterity was on a par with Jill Valentine, and she was an expert at lock picking.
Sample Entry: [There's a bit of a sigh on Claire's end. She's really trying not to sound too frustrated] I really have no idea what's going on. Well, I do, but- [A pause]
.. Okay. I'm really sorry to the guy who I almost clocked in the head. I was under really... strenous circumstances... before I got here.
[She clears her throat] Anyway.
My name is Claire Redfield. If that name sounds familiar to anybody, then please, please, can you try to reach me? I'm trying to look for some people and it's possible they ended up here as well. Or at least, I hope so. [She's about to add 'or maybe not', because really, did she want them to be kidnapped as well? Especially in some place as nonsensical as this? She decides to just put the phone down, fearing that anything else she had to say would just sound strained]
