Personality: Once upon a time, there was a huntsman... Sheriff Graham is a man who seems loyal to only one person, and that's the mayor of Storybrooke. He upholds the law according to the facts placed before him. At times, it almost seems as though he's bending the rules just to please mayor, Regina Mills. He won't go against her, as she was the one who gave him his job. Or so he believes. At first, despite any coincidental law breaking that Emma Swan supposedly does, the Sheriff believes she's a potential criminal. After all, if the mayor informed him of such outlandish behaviour, he had to react accordingly. However, he changes his mind when he realizes that Emma is only trying to help Henry in everything that she does. He even goes so far as to ask her to become his Deputy. During one fateful night, he is caught in a lie when Emma spots him sneaking out of Regina's bedroom window. He had claimed he was going to be working at the animal shelter and wanted her to take the nightshift. He wasn't expecting this to backfire on him... and he tries to apologize. With every chance falling upon what seem to be deaf ears, he decides that actions speak louder than words and kisses her. It's then that he regains bits and pieces of his memories of his past life, before the curse that was placed upon him and the town. During this time, he also realizes he's never felt such a wave of emotion and decides to go back to Regina. After kissing her, he doesn't get the same feelings of what might very well be love. It is then he realizes that it was Regina who stole his heart. Perhaps in both a literal and figurative manner of speaking. He tries to show Emma he lacks a heart, but she doesn't quite understand his meaning. When the mayor realizes how close Graham is to uncovering the truth... she goes to a crypt where she takes his heart, one and crushes it. The last words he manages to say before he passes away, is that he finally understands. His alternate fairy tail self, The Huntsman, was raised by wolves. During his hunts, he thanks the animal that was slain and cries for the loss of the animal's life. While other hunters find this course of action foolish, he proves to them that he is a worthy opponent in a fight. It's during this time, that the Evil Queen is watching his every move of the killing blow done to another man. He seems remoresless and she figures he's the perfect man to hire in order to murder Snow White. As he escorts her, by order of the Queen, his target figures out that he is there to simply kill her. Before she is slain, she asks of him to deliver a note of sincerity and love. Realizing that he cannot go through with the deed, he lets her go. When the Queen discovers that he had not completed the task given to him, she holds him as a prisoner.
