Iceland | Axis Powers Hetalia | Not reserved 2/2

Personality: If you take a glance at Iceland, you would find a very reserved person. He is generally not as outgoing as Denmark or Finland. He is also put into that “weird” category along with Norway, who is indeed his brother. Iceland speaks more modern and casually compared to the rest of the Nordics. But as far as speaking goes, Iceland talks in shorter sentences and remains expressionless unless he tries to prevent himself from getting involved in a situation that would draw unwanted attention.

Iceland is very modest. He doesn’t outright proclaim that anything he makes is the best. He also respects something known as personal space. Iceland definitely isn’t the touchiest person ever. He’s almost has been like that, but it’s gotten much worse since the financial crisis hit in 2008. This caused him to have slight trust issues and take things more cautiously.

Deep down, Iceland is passionate and does not like being pressured into doing things he would embarrassed to do. Because Iceland is passionate, he speaks up for his beliefs. For example, when the other Nordics tried to make him call Norway “onii-chan”, he absolutely refused to do so. Inwardly, he possibly wanted to call Norway “onii-chan” as he did so in the end, but he finds the whole situation humiliating and that is possibly why he hid behind a door when he said it.

Fishing is another hobby of Iceland’s mainly because the fishing industry is one of Iceland’s major economic industries. Because Icelanders catch so much fresh fish, it has also become one of their staple foods; which suggests that Iceland may find fish as one of his favorite foods. Licorice candy is also one of his favorite foods as he’s often seen snaking on it.

Iceland owns a pet puffin, named Mr. Puffin. Although Mr. Puffin looks cute, he acts and speaks “like an Italian mobster.” He is usually the one that tries to get Iceland to man up or to speak more clearly. Iceland will never admit it, but he believes that elves exist. He will get mad if you call an Icelandic horse a pony. Icelandic horses are basically pony-sized, but they’re still horses, not ponies.

He also doesn’t open up to people when he first meets them. Like mentioned earlier, Iceland is reserved and not the most outgoing person you will ever meet. However, he is very trustworthy and loyal. He won’t intentionally go around to people and bully them or find some way to make their lives worse. That being said, if he gets to know someone more, he will open up eventually.

Abilities: Since he is a country, he can’t die heals a lot faster than what’s considered normal.

Sample Entry:
[Today was one of the days that Iceland decided to sleep in. However, his extra sleeping time was interrupted as his drone mom wakes him up by knocking irritatingly loud on the door.]

Erik, sweetie! You need to wake up to go to your job!

[He wakes up groggily and gets out of bed, not even bothering to open the door.]

What job?

Oh aren’t you silly! You’ve always had a job as a paperboy. Hurry up and come downstairs. I made pancakes. [The drone mom left.]

Paperboy… oh that’s cool. [Not.] Wait, what!?

[He frantically runs around to go get dressed so he can figure out what’s going on.]

Notes: I would like him to have his memories back.
