Diana Ethelbert ∞ Original Character ∞ Part 4/???

Personality: Diana is as cold, cunning and calculating as they come. She devises and thinks of various plots. These contemplations were often nefarious in nature. She prides in being referred to as a naturally occurring genius with some questionable choices in where she focuses her brilliant mind on. She is also very irritatingly smart and prefers to be the one who holds all of the cards, no matter the circumstance. At the possibility that there is a slip-up in her plans, Diana is the one who will think of a way to get out and come back in control of the situation in front of her, which may make her a bit of a control freak by some regards.

Though, this is not to say that Diana is completely wooden and robotic. Out of those who earn her trust or respect, she will care for them and give them the utmost attention. Through the years, she has built up a wall to keep out those who don't hold her attention, or those who bore her. Her own personal sense of morality dictates that family is most important. She would do whatever was necessary to protect her parents as well as those she considers to be friends. She would be the type of person to do this only to those who matter and everyone else can rot for all she cares.

Yet, even with her good traits, she is also very frustrating and likes to speak in riddles and mislead someone. She also detests being talked down to and referred to as a child. By that reasoning she will argue the point that she should be called a young adult instead of a child. She is also not above harming people to get her way, however she rarely gets her hands dirty. She will have others do her dirty work for her while she sits behind and plans many strategies. She also makes plans based on what she has her eye on at the time. It’s safe to say that there are a few things wrong with Diana, but she won’t admit to them. If she’s particularly bored enough, she’ll lie and give a textbook answer as to why she is the way she is.

Ever since she was able to obtain the vast amount of information during the incident, Diana has a love/hate relationship with the library, though she is slowly warming up to her ability. See, while she loves having all of this information in her head and readily available whenever she wants to access it, the headaches are something she would love to leave behind. Because she's still rather new to her ability, she's still apprehensive, but yet curious on just how deep her library goes and just how much information is inside of it. And, while she's nervous about the library itself and her power, she likes to be different from everyone else and wants to continue working on managing and keeping it up to date. Therefore, should she be separated from her library, she'd most likely panic due to it suddenly not existing in her mind and wonder just what happened to make it disappear and would make her want to get it back, headaches be damned.

In fact, whenever she's presented with something new and challenging, she wants to know everything on it, down to the smallest and most intricate of details. New information excites her, finding out more about a subject she already knows deeply interests her and this kind of curiosity helps her keep herself busy so that she doesn't get bored too quickly of what she was doing beforehand. It's safe to say that she still retains her childlike curiosity, even when she's on a higher tier than her peers both developmentally as far as education and other subjects are concerned. While she doesn't like to waste her time with lesser minded individuals, she will, more than likely, enunciate her ideas anyway just to see what other ideas people have to offer.

Additionally, Diana's major weakness is that she doesn't know how to socialize. But if she finds that someone has the same intelligence level as she does, or something greater, she would love to chat with them about quantum physics, rocket science, and the theory of relativity, just to name a few of the topics she'd be interested in discussing. On the flip-side, when she's around someone she has either just met or someone less intelligent as her, she decides to put on a poker face and talk with them while simultaneously wishing she was somewhere else where her talents are needed.

However, as she's grown up, Diana has considerably changed from the person she used to be. From who was a generally cold person all around changed into a responsible young adult. She is now considerably calmer, able to smile and laugh, and generally is able to be a lot happier than she was. Even though she discovered the nastiest part of her power, she's come to terms with what happened and put it behind her fully. The time she spent repairing Epyaxa caused her to have a new appreciation on her life as a whole and to not be so disconnected with other people.

However, this doesn't mean that she's willing to let go of some of her past ways. She's still willing to joke around and tease people, even going so far as to still being condescending towards them. However, it's toward people that actually deserve it instead of doing it to everyone. Yet, she still has trust issues. While she is generally able to let people in much easier, she doesn't want to be hurt any further than she was in the past. Though, when it comes to her friends, she's able to be much more comfortable around her. Really, all it'll take to get her to trust you is time and understanding as to what she can do as well as time for her to get to know you even better than she does right now.

But, honestly, she's still the same Diana Ethelbert we've come to (love? hate? your choice) see and she's happy with the kind of person she is, knowing that there's much more for her to do. And, she's not going to stop for nothing and no one. She'll continue to be just who she needs to be and is very happy about that.
