There's a fruit, a bird, a people and a nation and they all have the same name. ...Kind of.

Hi! This is Narva/Kira, player of Russia and Nezumi, bringing in a third character: New Zealand from Axis Powers Hetalia. The nation will live in Goldberg 851 and is in a child slot. Which means that Kiwi's human name is now Kerry Highrule.

Kiwi is taken from WW2, during the Battle of Crete aka things aren't really going well and NZ will not be pleased about having been taken away. Aside from that, the nation is a friendly, sociable though a bit weird and kind of reclusive fellow of 16 human years and will look forward to regaining all the pets very much.

A few explanations:
- NZ is brunet. While fandom decided on blond hair when the first character chibi came out, canon decided to troll the fanartists and make it a light brown tone. However, most fanart that is floating around is blond so there are a couple of blond icons in the batch...
- No gender for you. Canon purposefully did not sort Kiwi, and I will stick with that. I do have a headcanon on gender and physical sex, but to not let that leak into IC things, I will try to not mention it at all. Other characters are of course free to think of NZ as a boy/girl. I would, however, please ask you to not have your character make a scene of "you must be either a boy or a girl!". They can ask about it, but I would rather not make it a big thing.

Me and Oozaru talked some and apparently I'm not the only one who has this mental image of Kiwi, Wales and Canada sitting in a corner of the room drinking tea when family gatherings detoriate into fighting and the throwing of chairs and insults. So I wanted to ask you if we could make that into shared headcanon...

I can just really imagine them getting along rather well also on a personality level because they are both among the calmer ones in the family (and can still kick ass when necessary).

Yes. Yes. I am all for that. Canada adores Oz and Kiwi and her aunts (fuck yeah Nyotalia) anyway, so the thought of calm tea while things go to hell in a handbasket suits nicely, either genderset. I will say that Canada's the most likely to step in to pull people off of each other, though. Heh.

Yeah, I'd definitely say that, too. Kiwi likes to stay out of the fighting, and Wales has long come to the conclusion that it is useless anyway.

I guess Canada and Kiwi would think of each other as cousins or something like that?

I would think so? I mean, Canada certainly tries to claim everyone as family that she possibly can (the male is a little less hardcore about that, but NZ and Oz are definitely cousins) and I always figure Canada tried to take on the Big Cousin role when it came to England's younger colonies, and that sort of continued on into the Dominion Era. It's a bit more complex than human cousins, but that's at least how she would describe it.

Definitely more complex. But that is the same with Hetalia siblings... Kiwi would not normally describe the "family" in family terminology, but if asked to do it, "cousin" would probably be the description for Canada and probably a few more. Not America, I guess. He's more like that guy who married into a twice-removed part of the extended family or something.

Haha, that works. So complex, but none of them care. And America is only really family for Canada, out of the British Empire bunch, I think. :|a Canada was the only one really around when America was part of it, if I recall correctly?
