Grimsley will be taken to the factory and operated on the morning of January 28th. Mrs. Johnson will drug him. The effects of being drugged will mean that for 12 hours after the surgery, he will feel groggy, nauseous, and find it difficult to think clearly.
Mrs. Johnson will perform eye surgery on him, which will quickly leave him apparently blind. At first, it will simply seem as though his eyesight has stopped functioning, and he sees only blackness; as time passes, however, Grimsley will notice brief flickers of movement in the black. Shapes will slowly begin to take form: gibbering, nightmarish apparitions that will dog his vision relentlessly. These horrific visions will continue unless/until his eyes are removed.
Following his surgery, Grimsley will be wheeled to the recovery room, where he will be able to interact with his fellow patients. He will be returned to Mayfield outside the hospital the morning of January 29th.
