Kotomi will be taken to the factory and operated on the morning of February 1st. She will be left awake but restrained for her surgery, and administered no painkillers.
Mrs. Johnson will amputate both of Kotomi's arms. Additionally, Kotomi will suffer a variation of phantom limb phenomenon; although she no longer has arms, she will continue to feel them as though they were still attached to her body. The phantom arms she's feeling are not under her control, and she can feel them as they apparently perform brutal surgery: she will experience the feeling of her hands cutting through bone, being splattered with warm blood, removing entrails, etc.
Following her surgery, Kotomi will be wheeled to the recovery room, where she will be able to interact with her fellow patients. She will be returned to Mayfield outside the hospital the morning of February 2nd.
