• Please read over all the rules and information before applying in order to minimize any confusion before joining.
• If applying for a character that has already been dropped, it would be a good idea, though not required, to know something of their previous interactions. You are also free to pick up a dropped character with no memories of their previous time in Mayfield.
• All content for the personality and sample entry in your app must be written or roleplayed by you; for the personality section in particular, we do not accept copied text from wikis or other sources. Obviously, you may not copy your app from other players, whether in Mayfield or other games. Application plagiarism will result in a ban from the game.
• If you wish for your character to be placed in a specific house, please mention this in the relevant section of the application and specify that permission was obtained by the PCs already residing in that house. We will be operating by the Honor System for this, and there is no need for others to comment their permission in this post!
• Other special requests would also best go in the beginning of the application. Remember, grammar and spelling are important -- if your app contains errors, you will be asked to revise.
• Please post all applications or canon updates in this post; posting them elsewhere and linking to them from here may cause them to get changed later. Posting them here keeps us from having to save them.

When Applying for an Original Character, Fill Out the Following
• Before applying, please look over any applications that were recently accepted to get an idea of what we're looking for.
• If you apply for a character that has already been reserved, we will inform you and ignore the application until the reserve runs out. You may not apply for more than two characters from the same canon. For the sample entry, you may write your own entry, or use a post from a musebox, dressing room, or other game. We recommend testrun_box if you prefer the latter!
• After you're accepted, please follow all of the instructions given. You will need to reply to the acceptance, post your journal to the friend add page and your canon post, join the communities, and use the friend add page to update your journal. Once you're accepted, please introduce yourself on the community when you're ready to play.
• If your app is "Pending", do not freak out! This means that we need you to make some revisions, and does not mean you're rejected. We generally give players a chance to revise before rejecting them, but we will reject apps that do not address the concerns stated when we asked for a revision. If you have been rejected, our reply will clearly state this to be the case. If we have not gotten back to you yet, under no circumstance does this mean you are rejected. If it has been over a week since our last reply, it would be a good idea to contact us with a reminder, otherwise, please be patient!
• If you have received a "Pending" notice, you will have one week to supply us with your revisions, or your reserve will be considered expired and that someone else is free to apply for the character.
• The typical wait for a reply on apps may be anywhere from a day to a little over a week. If any part of your application requires a pending, it may be another week after your reply to that before we can get to you. We process a high volume of apps every round, so please be patient.
• If you have not heard back on a pending for over a week after apps close, please send a PM directly to the mod account.

Character Name: The Kingdom of Denmark ( Kongeriget Danmark ) but let’s call him Søren Andersen. Character Series: Axis Powers Hetalia. Character Age: In the comics and in real life he’s about 2000 years old and appears 25 but from where I’ll be taking him he’s about 900 and appears 20. Background:Viking Denmark and Hetalia wiki
Personality: Modern day Denmark proudly holds the title of ‘world’s happiest country’ and the human representation reflects this in both his mannerisms and his smile. Denmark tends to default to happiness; he’s almost always smiling and regards others with a cheerful disposition. Even when facing snark from Norway or a hanger to the head from Belarus, he can shrug it off and smile as if he doesn’t give a damn. This shows a strange sort of obliviousness on his part. It’s almost as if he just doesn’t want to imagine people would be rude to him. Though it’s more that he sees things from a very skewed perception. This is because Denmark is the greatest in his mind and no other opinions are valid to him. There was a time when the belief that Denmark is the greatest may not have been inaccurate. As a skilled tradesman and a formidable conqueror, he had a great deal of the world under his thumb for some time. However, it became obvious that he was biting off more than he could chew and the power he wielded was waning due to the vast quantity of it. Eventually, he allowed most of his claimed lands to slip out of his fingers and he slid back to his corner in Northern Europe. That being said, he’s still constantly trying to be the boss of his Brother’s. This in itself is telling, because despite his great ambitions he never seemed all that power hungry. It seemed more like he was out for influence and simply to take what he liked. No matter how far he spread this influence, he always came back to the Nordic circle. Which above all things, he seems to desire power over. Denmark likes to be referred to as ‘Big Brother’ by his fellow Nordics. This is because he enjoys the endearment and respect it shows, but also because he is quite a bit older than his brothers and many other countries. While other countries were slowly growing into the nations they are today, Denmark was a fast mover and grew up with speed. He used his advantages to build armies and set sail to beat up anyone within range. This ambitious attitude has settled in the last thousand years, but it never died. Denmark is still a very advanced society and it does well for itself. However, the Denmark we meet in Mayfield will not be this far ahead.
Along with Sweden and Norway, Denmark was among those known as the Vikings. In the 8th-11th centuries they were the rebels of the world and they used their unique skills to get ahead of others and claim their lands. Among these skills were shipbuilding, excellent navigational abilities and crafty tradesman ways. In this time, Denmark is a brash young adult who is eager to fight and succeed. Unlike the Denmark of the Modern ages, this guy has a fierce temper that he rarely keeps in check. He’s extremely bossy and rarely listens to suggestions or orders from others, he trusts his own volition above other’s and doesn’t feel the need to hear advice.
Like any Denmark, he seems to lack the ability to stop and think things through. Occasionally his headstrong feistiness can come in handy, particularly in battle, but sometimes he can weigh too much on himself and go belly up. These are the times when having level headed friends like Norway and Sweden are important. Despite this, he’s doing quite well for himself with his two step plan. The steps? Raid and Conquer. With some minor details in between. He has settlements in a number of European countries and he is not a pleasant house guest. The Denmark of this time is first and foremost a bully. He knows what he wants and he will either manipulate his way toward it or he will fight for it. He’s charismatic and charming and he’ll smile even as he burns down a village. His cheerful disposition is still abound, but he’s determined enough to focus and be serious when the time comes.
Norway is his first and best friend. He trusts him with his life and he hopes the other would feel the same. Most important decisions are passed by Norway before they are put into action, while Denmark is intelligent enough; Norway is the brains of the operation. Sweden has always been something Denmark considered a rival. He didn’t bond the same way with him as he did with Norway and the two of them tended to clash. The darker side of Denmark’s personality is influenced by these two, he cares for them like family but he also seeks to control them as though it were his god given right. He lavishes affection and praise on them but isn’t afraid of telling them off or roughing them up if they step out of line.
The big differences between his current self and his past self would be both his selfish mannerisms and his old world views. Back then, if he liked something he would simply step forward and take it. He doesn’t expect to be argued with and he doesn’t take kindly to it, either. He’s far more stubborn and a lot less relaxed which is going to make his stay in Mayfield difficult for those around him. Abilities: He’s basically a normal human with accelerated strength and immortality. He’s clever with his hands and good at improvising and inventing. As a viking he has keen navigational skills and he’s a talented tradesman who could probably sell you five of something you already own.
Sample Entry: [Denmark has finally figured out the phone. That is to say, he finally decided to listen to his wife walking him through it. He grasps it a little awkwardly, unfamiliar with the concept of it and addresses all of Mayfield.]
Coffee! The hot brown liquid the woman serves me in the mornin’. It’s surprisingly good, but it confuses me! How did such a thing come into creation? It’s as delicious as it is mysterious! [Action]
[If you’ve just arrived home this afternoon, you may be surprised to find a Dane lounging on your couch. God knows how he got in, but he’s lounging about as if he owns the place.
Is that? Yes. It is. He’s eating the last of the batch of cookies and licking the tips of his fingers. Watch out, buddy, he’s looking your way.]
Hej! Neighbour! You should lock your doors. [He laughs, because he figured out how to lock his long ago. Can’t have people rummaging through his things, can he?]
