• Please read over all the rules and information before applying in order to minimize any confusion before joining.
• If applying for a character that has already been dropped, it would be a good idea, though not required, to know something of their previous interactions. You are also free to pick up a dropped character with no memories of their previous time in Mayfield.
• All content for the personality and sample entry in your app must be written or roleplayed by you; for the personality section in particular, we do not accept copied text from wikis or other sources. Obviously, you may not copy your app from other players, whether in Mayfield or other games. Application plagiarism will result in a ban from the game.
• If you wish for your character to be placed in a specific house, please mention this in the relevant section of the application and specify that permission was obtained by the PCs already residing in that house. We will be operating by the Honor System for this, and there is no need for others to comment their permission in this post!
• Other special requests would also best go in the beginning of the application. Remember, grammar and spelling are important -- if your app contains errors, you will be asked to revise.
• Please post all applications or canon updates in this post; posting them elsewhere and linking to them from here may cause them to get changed later. Posting them here keeps us from having to save them.
When Applying, Fill Out the Following:
When Applying for an Original Character, Fill Out the Following
• Before applying, please look over any applications that were recently accepted to get an idea of what we're looking for.
• If you apply for a character that has already been reserved, we will inform you and ignore the application until the reserve runs out. You may not apply for more than two characters from the same canon. For the sample entry, you may write your own entry, or use a post from a musebox, dressing room, or other game. We recommend testrun_box if you prefer the latter!
• After you're accepted, please follow all of the instructions given. You will need to reply to the acceptance, post your journal to the friend add page and your canon post, join the communities, and use the friend add page to update your journal. Once you're accepted, please introduce yourself on the community when you're ready to play.
• If your app is "Pending", do not freak out! This means that we need you to make some revisions, and does not mean you're rejected. We generally give players a chance to revise before rejecting them, but we will reject apps that do not address the concerns stated when we asked for a revision. If you have been rejected, our reply will clearly state this to be the case. If we have not gotten back to you yet, under no circumstance does this mean you are rejected. If it has been over a week since our last reply, it would be a good idea to contact us with a reminder, otherwise, please be patient!
• If you have received a "Pending" notice, you will have one week to supply us with your revisions, or your reserve will be considered expired and that someone else is free to apply for the character.
• The typical wait for a reply on apps may be anywhere from a day to a little over a week. If any part of your application requires a pending, it may be another week after your reply to that before we can get to you. We process a high volume of apps every round, so please be patient.
• If you have not heard back on a pending for over a week after apps close, please send a PM directly to the mod account.

Character Name: Nagihiko Fujisaki ("Nadeshiko") Character Series: Shugo Chara Character Age: 13 Background:Series | "Nadeshiko" | "Nagihiko"
Nagihiko Fujisaki | Shugo Chara | not reserved, why is he of all people my first guy muse
Nagihiko is Nadeshiko. But not exactly the other way around. For a good chunk of his life, he was Nadeshiko. Nagihiko didn't exist. In the Fujisaki family, some of the boys are traditionally raised as women, so they can better adapt to the graceful movements of dance. And Nagi accepted this. For the most part. During his time at school, he was the elegant and refined Nadeshiko. "She" filled the Queen's chair of the Guardians at Seiyo Elementary school, and many of the girls in the school itself looked up to her as a good role model. She was a lady, always calm and rational, who loved all of the students under the Guardians' care. She took the very cold and introverted Amu Hinamori under her wing, and became her closest friend within a matter of weeks. She always knew the right thing to say, and was very responsible and mature for a younger girl--if she had a problem, she dealt with it herself and didn't drag others into her personal issues. She did have a hidden devious side (such as bribing Amu with candid pictures of the King's Chair, Tadase, or passively teasing Amu about her lack of a chest), it was mostly kept out of view, and even if it was--no one cared. Nadeshiko was the Queen. And Temari was her Guardian Character--the little fairy-like being that popped out an egg, representing who Nadeshiko truly wanted to be.
Temari, of course, acted mostly like a typical Japanese woman. Dainty, quiet, the like. But she held within her a very, very large temper and massive amounts of stubbornness. Amu wonders why Nadeshiko would want to ever be like that. But it makes sense when one considers Nagi's desire to be a boy. The only people who, initially, knew of Nagihiko's true gender were the principal of the school, and Tadase. It was a very, very well-kept secret. Nagi could act like a girl. He could dress like a girl. Why wouldn't he be a girl? In Nagihiko's mind, it was because inside he was not. Despite his mature attitude and responsibilities, he still was 13 years old. He wanted to be able to act like a boy. He didn't really want to wear skirts and put on makeup. But he did. that was his biggest conflict. Duty and his family traditions, or his gut feelings? Eventually, though, with some help from Rima Mashiro (the one who took his spot as the Queen chair when he moved to Europe to study dance), he realizes he is who he is. Kinda. Regardless, his time as "Nadeshiko" eventually runs out, as his mother mentions he's almost mastered the Fujisaki's line of dance. Once he returns from Europe, he officially sheds "Nadeshiko" entirely, and noticeably becomes more happy.
And Nagihiko himself? The original personality? Mostly the same. He's not as graceful as Nadeshiko, no. And not as quiet and self-restrained; not by a mile (though he makes it up by being oddly philosophical). But he retains "her" honesty and willingness to protect his friends at any cost, even risking his own life. "Her" devious side becomes much more prominent. You see, Nagi doesn't take people bashing his family's crossdressing tradition lightly, as much as he dislikes it. He went full-out when acting as a girl, and that included wearing the girl's uniform every day, with its thigh-length skirt. So when Tadase and Kukai (the former Jack Chair and a good friend of "Nadeshiko") started poking fun at him for tolerating wearing a skirt, Nagihiko took action. By forcing Tadase and Kukai into the girls uniforms with his bare hands. He is a troll. There's no other word for it. He gets way too many giggles out of seeing people in the clutches of karma--and even takes things into his own hands if necessary, such as the aforementioned "telling Amu her boobs will get bigger in time" thing. And he did nothing but stand there and smile when Kukai freaked out after learning "Nadeshiko" was a boy. And as a stereotypical boy, he's full of boundless energy. Apparently he has a big love of basketball and other such things.
One thing he struggled with was telling the truth. Although the principal and Tadase were the only ones who knew, at the beginning, others found out: Rima figured it out by herself and forced Nagi to admit it; Nagi himself told Kukai. He managed to convince Amu, however, that he was Nadeshiko's twin brother. And until the epilogue of the manga, that's the truth she believes. Rima constantly berated and judged him for it, constantly reminding him of his growing lie. It wasn't exactly something he could do easily. He felt guilty, almost, being Amu's friend as a girl and having Amu confide in him--he was so very afraid it would hurt Amu herself, who he still did think of as his best friend. He did, of course, eventually tell her. And she nearly faints on the spot. Poor guy. It didn't help his conscience much.
Nagihiko Fujisaki | Shugo Chara | not reserved, SOMEONE TAKE AWAY MY APPING PRIVILEGES
BLAH BLAH MAHOU SHOUNEN MAGICAL BOY Like the rest of the characters in the series with Guardian Charas, he can do a standard "Character Change." Nothing physically changes, but the mental differences are noticeable--with Temari, he...typically turns into a violent psychopath that wields a naginata. With Rhythm, tl;dr he just becomes a pimp he becomes ridiculously loud and outgoing and basically a giant ham. Still a pimp because he flirts with all the ladies in that state.
Slightly more complicated is the "Character Transformation" in which their personalities are more drastically altered, but they gain powers--all are more agile and able to withstand stronger physical blows. With Nagi in particular, he has two, again, one with Temari and one with Rhythm. Temari's is Yamato Maihime, which in basics is a ~*~PRETTYFUL~*~ kimono-clad lady who can manipulate ribbons in offense(this is as broad as it sounds), and razor-like cherry-blossom petals in defense and distraction. In this form he can fuse powers with Rima Mashiro's attacks into a giant attack of pink and white sparkles called "Queen's Waltz." Rhythm's is turning Nagi into a gangster called Beat Jumper, which is as Street™ as it sounds. In that form he can just throw basketballs and other projectiles of that sort that have energy trails and can explode with magic crap on contact. And he can fly because there are wings on his shoes yadda yadda.
His Guardian Charas themselves need to be present for all of these things to take place. They themselves don't have many abilities besides unlocking the Changes/Transformations. Though they can fly and they sleep in little tiny eggs. (And they're essentially facets of Nagihiko himself, so they wouldn't count as appable characters.)

Hello? ...is this working? Sorry, aheh, I'm not used to working with rotary phones still. So old-fashioned. I kind of miss my cellphone. Anyways, ah...I have a question for any of you who's listening.
If you could get out of here, would you? If there was a magical solution that would give you the option of leaving this town forever, would you take it? Even if meant forgetting everything you went through, here?
[A pause, and a laugh.] Sorry. That sounds so very ominous, doesn't it?
