event: love is blooming
In honor of Valentine's day, every household will find a beautiful bouquet of fresh flowers on their mantle beginning Sunday morning. The vase has a card attached; it reads 'From your secret admirer,' and is addressed to whoever is reading the card. You can do what you like with the flowers-- water them, give them away, throw them out-- but if you remove a flower from the vase, it will be instantly replaced the instant no one is watching it. There will also be fresh flowers growing in hedges, on shop window sills, and even in baskets in the office or at school.
The flowers all have a unique aroma that tends to draw you in. Even from across a room, even if you don't normally smell or breathe, it's hard to resist taking in the various scents. But beginning in the evening on February 13, smelling the flowers will have peculiar effects:

Rose - This flower has a delicate, perfume-like scent. Exposure to its pollen will cause you to fall passionately in love with the first person you see. You feel feel as though these feelings have always existed, but it is only now you acknowledge them, or you will feel as though it is love at first sight.

Carnation - This flower has subtle sweet scent. Exposure to its pollen will cause familiar feelings; you may believe someone is actually your long lost family member, or you may just feel an intense parental or sibling-like connection.

Lily - This flower has a surprising, spicy scent. Exposure to its pollen will cause you to feel loathing for someone you meet. It may be a rivalry, it may be disgust, or it may be an overpowering desire to destroy them, but however you feel, you hate them completely.

Hyacinth - This flower has a cloyingly sweet scent. Exposure to its pollen will cause you to fall in love with someone, but it will be a jealous, possessive love. You would rather die than lose this person, and you would rather anyone else die than take them away from you.

Pitcher Plant - This flower has a scent that is sweet to some but sour to others. Exposure to its pollen causes a reversal of feelings. Everyone you had positive feelings for you now dislike or hate proportionally to how much you once cared about them, and everyone you had negative feelings you now like or even love.

Mint - This herb has a fresh peppermint smell. Exposure to its pollen will cause flirtatious impulses; you'll feel the desire to talk everyone you meet up until you're rewarded with a kiss.

Forget-Me-Not This flower has a fragile light scent. Exposure to its pollen by two people will cause one of the characters to feel a powerful sense of some type of love (friendship, familial, romantic, etc.), but the other will not return those feelings in any way. They may have feelings of another nature, feel indifferent, or feel disgusted.

Iris - This flower has a dizzying, overpowering scent. Exposure to its pollen will cause you to make a public confession of any hidden feelings, particularly opinions on others and feelings of a romantic nature.

Petunia - This flower has a mysterious perfume-like scent. Exposure to its pollen will cause you to fall into a dull, emotionless state.

White Daisy - This flower has a simple, sweet scent. Exposure to its pollen by two people at once will cause them to develop a puppy love crush on one another. These feelings may be new, but you've never felt like this about someone before.

Milkweed - This flower smells like sour milk. Exposure to its pollen reverses all current effects but leaves you craving dairy.
It is up to the players the intensity of these effects and how exactly they manifest. The romantic effects will all be limited to characters of a reasonably appropriate age as compared to yours, and the intensity of the effects should be age appropriate as well.
This event will be more fun if you plan with your fellow players, so please use the comments to do so, or take it to IM. You can always choose which of the flowers your character is being affected by or which effects were removed by Milkweed. It's important to keep permissions and godmoding in mind, and ask before any kissing/hugging/touching/yandere stalking.
All flowers will wilt and all effects will dissipate throughout the day on February 15, will all effects gone by the evening of that day. Please direct questions to the thread below!

Rose, one of them falls in love with the other, or the daisies and it's puppy love pff. Or Hycawhatever and Caesar can be jealous of Virginia and Balin (whether or not there's anything to be jealous of doesn't matter, it's evil Mayfield flowers). :|a
