The funhouse is now open for exploration! Anyone can explore it now regardless of whether they signed up for the event. Characters who signed up and explore the funhouse will eventually arrive in a new area; however, not all characters will arrive on the same day.

Those who are in the first group can enter the new area on the first day or later; those in the second can enter on the second day or later; those in the third can enter on the third day or later. For characters in the latter two groups, you can play this one of two ways: either your character isn't able to find the entrance to the new area until they reenter the funhouse on their appropriate day, or they do find the entrance the first time they explore the funhouse, but when they exit, they'll have found that one or two or however many days have already passed in the new area.

Everyone who signed up for this part of the event and plans on participating should join welcome_rpg with the character journal that they signed up. The community will open on Friday June 29th at 12:00 PM EST.

Does when you explore the funhouse have any correlation as to when you arrive or could someone from day one and day three go exploring together and still end up arriving at the new area on different days?

It can work both ways! You can assume that the character in the latter groups simply couldn't find the entrance to the new area the first day but was lead to it when they explored the funhouse again on the second or third day, or you can say that somehow they simply arrived on a different day even though the same amount of time passed within the funhouse itself for the characters.

I'm a little confused by how this system works. Seeing as how my character is supposed to arrive on Day 2, does that mean I'd have to wait to post to the funhouse log two days from now or what?

No, you can post in the funhouse now! It simply means that when the new community opens, you won't be able to comment to the day one post because your character won't have arrived there yet. You can either have your character explore the funhouse on the first day but not be able to find the entrance to the new area until they come back to the funhouse on the second day, or you can have them find the entrance on the first day in Mayfield but have the funhouse itself warp time so that he arrives on the second day in the new area.

Stupid question, but, characters who weren't signed up for the event can go into the fun house, just that they won't be able to go into the other community for that part, right?

There is no way to contact those who are still in Mayfield with any powers or anything the trapped characters bring with them.

Really late question, but do threads from welcome_rpg count towards July AC, assuming the threads occured in July? I'm not. Sure why they wouldn't, I just wanted to ask.
