Soooo uh...
Looks like I've been making a complete and total ass of myself and didn't even realize it.
I wanted to just kinda say sorry to anyone I was pissing off. I wasn't ignoring people's posts and I'm sorry I made it seem like I was. As well, Jazz's whole phone-speech-rebellion thing was intended to be a spectacular failure from the beginning, he was just being too optimistic about what he had planned and my own terrible attempts at playing him completely failed at what ai was trying to do. I didn't realize how absolutely terrible my execution of what I was trying to pull off was until yesterday and today, though, and just...
Yeah. I'm sorry. I realize I pretty much fucked that whole thing right up. If everyone would prefer, I can drop the plot thing so it doesn't clutter up the posts page.
ETA: If anyone ever has a question about something I didn't do well enogh to be clear or just wants to make a suggestion or something, you can always contact me on AIM at tronzler307020 or on plurk at tronja307020.

I knew all along there would be characters who would think he was an idiot, but heMs. It the type that would sit by and watch when he's been imprisoned. After millions of years fighting, he's learned when you're captured, you blast your way free. He figures the people in charge couldn't possibly keep control if everyone banded together and kept hitting them over and over and over again. Droning is a slap on the wrist to him, so he doesn't see a point to beig afraid of theme makig you play nice for a while. And he's the type that if they killed him and them brought hom back, it'd just piss him off. Which is sort've what happened when Prowl died in the funhouse event. He got pissed and decided he wasn't interested in playing nice anymore. He just neded to try and get people to fight back wih him.
But yeah, I effed it up somewhere along he way and feel pretty dumb, so...

The V for Vendetta style worked in that comic/movie though because the people weren't fighting back. They were afraid and needed someone to shake them out of not doing anything, to rise up. In Mayfield we have characters fighting back, just doing it secretly, people who have been through worse then this, and even people who like Mayfield better then their own world.
He came off rude and condescending because he assumes that droning and being killed is the worst things Mayfield can do, when if he had talked to people he would have been told that they can do much worse. Harley mentioned a month long punishment when I tagged his first post with her, they had an all out riot to see if the town could drone all of them. It did. And then after that, the town started killing them off one by one, not bringing them back and then convincing the people in the town that there were hidden monsters in their ranks that were killing people. Everyday people were shown their friends horribly murdered bodies on tv and then got a list of suspects of who did it. Evidence was planted to make it look like there could be monsters among them. ...and then at the end they were told that no, no monsters just the town screwing with them. They've done things like that a few times. Psychological and emotional torture is pretty normal here. And if he'd talked to people he could have heard about it.
He also pretty much says that they're allowing Mayfield to win and that none of them know what real war and suffering is like either, which no isn't going to get him any friends considering most people in the town have gone through terrible things, some of them war and rebellions. Calling people cowards and then not even replying to them isn't going to do anything. At best he'll get people hating him and thinking he's a condescending idiot that has no idea what he's talking about, also possibly a lynch mob. At worst, if he keeps it up with the never responding thing, people might start to think he's part of the town just trying to trick them into doing something stupid. Like run up and attack the milkman or something like that.
So his approach isn't going to work. Which is totally fine if you plan to play that out. Like Wighty said, our characters might hate him but that's different then us being mad at you. We all get that.
But if you were trying to get the people on his side or just not have him being seen as tactless and condescending, then you might want to rethink the way you're going about things. Or at least have him learn from this. Maybe have him talk to a few people in town that have been here longer then him. Or reply to some of the tags on your post.
