Well, I'm just going to post this now cause I had an idea of rping this out with everybody. We really should have our characters give their new town a name. I mean, after their horrors in Mayfield I don't think anyone wants to keep that name for their new town.

There's been some suggestions floating about on plurk to name it after Annie and I think that'd be a great idea. But, like I said we want to rp this out. So anyone have suggestions on what our characters can decide to call their new town?

As promised, we're bringing you a musebox for all your post-Mayfield threading! The musebox is still under construction, but we are opening it anyway.

From all the mod team, we want to thank you for sticking with the game this far. The past four years have been a blast for us, and we hope you've enjoyed the ride. No RP- no matter how wonderfully modded and excellently managed and painstakingly organized (BF wrote this, in case you were wondering) -would be worth anything whatsoever if it didn't possess a playerbase that was engaged, creative, and passionate about the game. You guys have been all of those things, and more.

You are, of course, free to continue museboxing both in the "new" Mayfield setting and the old one! The former, notably, includes an option to bring back old/dropped characters if their ex-players are interested in re-introducing them to the new setting. Soon, hopefully tomorrow, we will be introducing a new community for playing in the new setting. It will be unmoderated, but you will be able to play out endings for your characters both current and former if you want.

While we get the musebox up, here are some guidelines:

Dropped characters will only have memories of Mayfield up to their time of dropping. They can be brought back, revived through the droning machine.

Characters who died during permadeath can also come back, but will not have any memories of their time in Mayfield when they do. They will be, essentially, brand new constructs using the same copy information they were originally created with.

If two different people rped the same character, that's okay! Sometimes, the machine glitches and creates duplicates. You can play your version of the character, with memories only of your time playing them, and someone else can play their version as a duplicate.

Characters have some power to control the new town. This means they can alter the buildings, decorate, bring in items from their world. They don't have too much power, so they can only do a limited amount of this every day. It is also easier to create raw materials and build from them than to create finished items. Character will have to put some work into building this setting, but can bring some home with them little by little. Regains not brought with you from Mayfield will work the same way; they can be brought little by little. Any powerful weapons will be nerfed to reasonable levels courtesy of Annie; you can define what this is.

We hope to see you guys around elsewhere in RPland, and we hope that in all of your new RPs and endeavors, you keep one simple thought in mind.

The first part of our final(!) event will have Mrs. Johnson pitting the player characters against each other for her own amusement, taking control of their bodies and driving them to murder everyone they come into contact with- all while fully awake and aware.

Despite what this might suggest, the mods will not be controlling your character- you're free to play out their actions, so long as they fall under the general heading of "try to kill everyone in the immediate area as horribly as possible". This post will act as a joint signup/permissions post both for those under Johnson's control and those they're programmed to murder, i.e. everyone else, so please take a moment to fill out the following:

Callie here! So I know I'm a million years behind on announcing this, but for those of you that remember them, Zevran Arainai and Schuldig have both come back to Mayfield! Schuldig's only been gone a handful of months, but Zevran's been gone a lot longer than that...and Mayfield's undergone enough changes even since Schuldig's time that it's going to be seriously confusing for the both of them.

Zevran's been introduced into a completely new house from last time, at 946 Beulah Street with Estonia and Yuyuko, while Schuldig is going back to his now entirely droned household at 1492 Kramden Road. Both are returning with all their memories and regains intact!

Kits here. I know with endgame probably like days away this seems kind of SAY WHAT? but I've been sort of a blob filled with non-activity and it's probably best that I just scoot into the sunset. It's been fun and I really wanted to get back into the game now that Mayfield is coming to a close, but sometimes things aren't meant to be. I'm sorry to all my CR with whom I plotted things that never got off the ground (because of my butt), we will always have memes and random happenstances.

Tyve is headed home for good now.

It looks like The Postman is ready to be talked to! But since the mods have said only a single group of people will get to have the chat with him, and we need to work that out for ourselves... let's work it out for ourselves!

If anyone wants to volunteer which characters they'd like to send along, and see if a nice postman-pestering squad can be arranged, it can be done here! Let's see how many people want in on this, and if we can't possibly get as many as reasonably possible involved? (EDIT) As well, to be fair, we can keep it to one character per person?

I know it's so close to endgame, but I'm come to realise my motivation for this game is pretty much non-existent now and it's time to say goodbye. I'd rather step out now than leave my CR trying to deal with an inactive player.

It's been great, and the people here have been fantastic. I'll honestly miss the wonderful people I've met here and hope I get to play with you all again somewhere down the line. But for now, me and Maladict are backing out.

Madoka Kaname has been canon updated! She is still living in the same house, but was droned for the past 24 hours.

She is now a magical girl of the Godoka variety. Her confidence is at 100% and she's ready to spread hope! And shoot arrows. I am treating her Godoka form as a separate transformation, so she will still appear to be regular Kaname Madoka for a while longer. Nothing about her seems to have changed, unless you can sense all of her magical powers.

Will be posting with her shortly! 

Airdra here, letting y'all know that Hajime's canon update has just been approved. He'll be droned in game for 24 hours so that he can go home and experience the final events of his canon, Kamen Rider Blade. There shouldn't be too much changing for him in-game, other than that he'll have just a bit more to make him hate Mayfield.

As the result of a certain outburst, all characters in Mayfield have been implanted with false memories- similar to droning, but without the personality change. They remain self-aware and in control of their own actions, but any memory of their home world has been "overwritten" with fake memories of a life in Mayfield. The false memories will vary in strength- some of you will be able to recognize them as fake, while others will be hard-pressed to even notice anything out of the ordinary.

Regardless of the severity, however, any attempt to remember one's true past meets with heavy resistance. Try to think about your real home too hard, and you'll suddenly find yourself inundated with thoughts about how wonderful Mayfield is and how lucky you are to live here. The thoughts aren't your own, but they are loud, overwhelming and, if they go on too long, painful, like a severe migraine. Fortunately, the thoughts will die down as soon as you stop thinking your new memories are anything but real.

Those who possess exceptionally strong willpower and/or haven't been affected by the false memories as strongly may be able to openly speak, write, or otherwise express the truth of their situation. Doing so openly, however, may carry dire consequences- though of course, we won't do anything too drastic without contacting you OOC.

This will go into affect starting 9 PM EST on Sunday, October 21st. As always, questions and concerns should be posted here.

EDIT: Regarding regains! For the most part, we intend that any regains that obviously don't belong in 1950s small town America will disappear. This won't be hard and fast, though. Just like with memories, some regains might stick around and be confusing. We mostly encourage you to only do this with small things that might raise red flags (I'm stronger than I should be, or that computer is kind of odd, or where did I get that fancy sword?), but if you've already made plans based on assumptions that your character will continue to be bright blue with horns, that's fine.

Just remember, if your thoughts go past "wow, that item/ability/person's appearance is weird" and start heading into "that doesn't belong here, something's up," you'll find yourself with a flood of thoughts about how much you love Mayfield until you stop.

Pretty much what it says on the can. Hey, Seishou here. Firstly I should apologize, as I've been very slow on tags lately. Real life has been kicking me around more than I expected as of late, and I'm setting up to go job-hunting with all this going on.

I still have my inbox of backtags to go on, so I will at least keep on those as well as I can, but I'm going to be more picky about what posts/logs I have Aurica voluntarily tag into from now on. It's either that or a repeat of last year, and I'm seeing this through to the end even if it seems half-assed.

That said, if there is ANYTHING you want me to tag into, or if you want to remind me of a thread I haven't gotten back to, please feel free to talk to me about it. The same goes if I'm not giving you much to work with.

Airdra (aka the person who brings you Pinkie Pie, Hajime Aikawa, Ted Kord, and Cliff Carmichael) here with one last character for the last app cycle because I'd kicked the idea around a couple months ago and figured I wouldn't have another chance. I bring you one Takeshi Asakura, AKA Kamen Rider Ouja, who is at least getting out of jail to come to Mayfield.

I know there's just one month to go, but I need to move on. I have to cut back and consolidate when it comes to rp, and... Well, yeah, I haven't been doing as much here lately as I ought to, anyway.

Mayfield has made me a better rper, so thanks for that, guys.

So, I'm finding it very hard to justify hanging on now that a good portion of my CR has dropped, including new CR, and establishing new CR when there's very little game time left just seems kind of silly, to be honest. I love the game, and I'll keep stalking to see what happens, but I just can't get Tieria out there at this point just to end the CR so quickly. So, instead of forcing myself to keep going, I'm going to bow out gracefully. It's been fun, and I hope to see you guys in other games at some point. :)

Things are back to normal now, so I'm getting right back to it. And I am finally getting to those backtags, so look forward to those!

So because of growing technical issues (namely a broken laptop charger and a complete loss of internet at home), I'm going to be on hiatus until further notice. I don't know how long it'll take to get everything fixed, but I'm ballparking it at about a week or two. This effects the following characters:

In an unrelated note, I'd like to apologize for my horrendous tagging speeds as of late. That's due to a lack of organization on my part and in no way related to this technical issue.
