Applications

• Please read over all the rules and information before applying in order to minimize any confusion before joining.

• If applying for a character that has already been dropped, it would be a good idea, though not required, to know something of their previous interactions. You are also free to pick up a dropped character with no memories of their previous time in Mayfield.

• All content for the personality and sample entry in your app must be written or roleplayed by you; for the personality section in particular, we do not accept copied text from wikis or other sources. Obviously, you may not copy your app from other players, whether in Mayfield or other games. Application plagiarism will result in a ban from the game.

• If you wish for your character to be placed in a specific house, please mention this in the relevant section of the application and specify that permission was obtained by the PCs already residing in that house. We will be operating by the Honor System for this, and there is no need for others to comment their permission in this post!

• Other special requests would also best go in the beginning of the application. Remember, grammar and spelling are important -- if your app contains errors, you will be asked to revise.

• Please post all applications or canon updates in this post; posting them elsewhere and linking to them from here may cause them to get changed later. Posting them here keeps us from having to save them.

When Applying, Fill Out the Following:

When Applying for an Original Character, Fill Out the Following

• Before applying, please look over any applications that were recently accepted to get an idea of what we're looking for.

• If you apply for a character that has already been reserved, we will inform you and ignore the application until the reserve runs out. You may not apply for more than two characters from the same canon. For the sample entry, you may write your own entry, or use a post from a musebox, dressing room, or other game. We recommend [community profile] testrun_box if you prefer the latter!

• After you're accepted, please follow all of the instructions given. You will need to reply to the acceptance, post your journal to the friend add page and your canon post, join the communities, and use the friend add page to update your journal. Once you're accepted, please introduce yourself on the community when you're ready to play.

• If your app is "Pending", do not freak out! This means that we need you to make some revisions, and does not mean you're rejected. We generally give players a chance to revise before rejecting them, but we will reject apps that do not address the concerns stated when we asked for a revision. If you have been rejected, our reply will clearly state this to be the case. If we have not gotten back to you yet, under no circumstance does this mean you are rejected. If it has been over a week since our last reply, it would be a good idea to contact us with a reminder, otherwise, please be patient!

• If you have received a "Pending" notice, you will have one week to supply us with your revisions, or your reserve will be considered expired and that someone else is free to apply for the character.

• The typical wait for a reply on apps may be anywhere from a day to a little over a week. If any part of your application requires a pending, it may be another week after your reply to that before we can get to you. We process a high volume of apps every round, so please be patient.

If you have not heard back on a pending for over a week after apps close, please send a PM directly to the mod account.

APPLICATIONS ARE CLOSED.

Meowth | Pokémon Anime | Reserved

Contact Info: AIM: kabbbs, [plurk.com profile] kaboot
Other Characters Played: Rapunzel
Preferred Housing: 915 Bilko; Pet slot! I have discussed this with both Conan!Mun and Mal!Mun.

Character Name: Meowth
Character Series: Pokémon Anime (Dub)
Character Age: Um. N/A?
Background: Here! Meowth is taken from directly after the first movie.

Personality:
Inside, Meowth is more human than Pokémon. Though he physically has more in common with your average house cat, he's far more likely to bond with a person. He acts so very much like a normal human that one might think he sometimes forgets that he isn't - and really, that would be correct. He's just another one of the guys in his mind, and sometimes he forgets that he happens to be in a furry little body.
Meowth doesn't have a very strong moral compass... Generally. He's perfectly okay with stealing, clearly. It's his job, after all. He's okay with hurting others, too - more on that later. But there is a side of him that's aware of what's right and what isn't, and actually cares. This side rarely comes around when he's doing bad, of course - It's much easier to realize that someone else is going over the line. He's also capable of having a soft spot for babies/children. And girls. Oh gosh, girls.
On the topic of Meowth's softer side... It's an interesting contrast from the persona he usually shows. For one thing, he's actually sort of a philosopher. This side comes out very rarely, and it's not like he's ever extraordinarily deep, but he can be fairly deep about the big things in life; especially about peace and war and how we are not so different when all is said and done. He's also surprisingly romantic. When he falls for someone, he falls hard and will do anything to keep that person safe and happy, even if it leaves him unsafe and unhappy. And finally, there's the simple fact that he really loves his pals Jessie and James. Sure, half the time he's trying to get a few good swipes in at their faces and calling them idiots, but when all is said and done he'd do anything for them.
Still, Meowth is far from a sweet little kitten. He gets angry pretty easily, and when he does, he gets violent. Not really dangerously so, but he'll scratch someone up if they're frustrating him. He's also pretty cocky, and sees himself as the brains of Team Rocket, and while he is pretty skilled with mechanics, and a clever little schemer in general, he's just not as smart as he thinks he is and most of his plans will ultimately fail. Also, unless his friends are really in danger, he's a coward. That's not to say he's quick to give up - because, quite the contrary, he is incredibly determined and stubborn - but he's just... Well, kind of a "fraidy-cat" and doesn't like to put himself in unnecessary danger. He's much more comfortable having Jessie or James do that. He's particularly uncomfortable around water, unless it's warm and not too deep.
Abilities: As a Pokémon, Meowth can use attacks! But not payday. Never payday. Actually, he's only ever used Fury Swipes, Scratch, and Bite in canon. (From a gaming view, that puts him somewhere between level 14 and level 29, but. That's not really a thing in the anime. I just found it interesting and I'll shut up now okay.)

Name: Katsie

Contact Info: jadeds @ plurk
Other Characters Played: Padmé Amidala, Emma Frost
Preferred Housing: N/A

Character Name: Satine
Character Series: Moulin Rouge! (After the Spectacular! Spectacular! pitch, but before One Day I'll Fly Away)
Character Age: 23
Background: Wikipedia
Personality: Satine has been called many things- sparkling diamond, shining enchantress, fallen angel. A curious mix of innocence and sensuality all rolled into one. That's just because those are what she allows others to see. Satine is a very talented actress, wearing many masks to please those around her. Wilting flower, bright and bubbly, or smoldering temptress; you name it, she can do it. Though it's rare for people to actually see the real person beneath the glittering costumes and flashy disposition. The girl with far away dreams of stardom and freedom of choice.

The star performer at the Moulin Rouge, Satine can occasionally don a cloak of untouchable haughtiness in order to ward off those she doesn't wish to entertain. With a lift of her chin and a darkening of her eyesm she can easily transition from cooing dove to cold viper. Despite that, she really can be a sweet girl, with a zest of excitement and life itself. She has a penchance for diamonds and fashionable gowns, her rooms filled with rich, exotic gifts from the wide range of high class men she's taken up daliances with over the course of her time at the infamous dance club.

When in a happy mood, Satine is vivacious and charming. She's bright, and enjoys teasing those she considers her friends with her own brand of playful jokes and witty comments. There are also times when Satine would prefer simply lounging with good company instead of working her busy schedule.

Satine has her dreams and fantasies. She longs to be a real actress instead of a cancan dancer, of flying away from the glamerous yet choking web that is the Moulin Rouge. There'sa part of her hat longs for love; real, warm, unconditional love. But, despite occasionally losing herself in her fantasies, there is always a part of Satine that remains firmly grounded in reality. She's a courtesean, she cannot fall in love. Allow men to believe what they want to believe in oder to receive their pleasure, but never get anything back in return other than a few new sparkling trinkets. It's not until Christian comes into her life that Satine begins to doubt everything that has been instilled upon her. That perhaps love can be true instead of just a game.

Preferred Housing: 460 Stone Street, please! Permissions have been granted by other housemates.

Character Name: Kono Kalakaua
Character Series: Hawaii Five-0 - end of season 2
Character Age: 20-something

Background: Wikipedia

Personality:
It would be easy to write Kono off as the rookie of her team and as the "token woman," but that would be selling her way short. Kono is independent, capable, smart, loyal, and caring.

A native Hawaiian, Kono has been surfing since she was young. She even went pro when she was fifteen until she blew out her knee. For Kono, surfing is her connection to the world around her, and it's a passion as much as it is a stress-reliever and a way of life. After blowing out her knee and the subsequent rehab, Kono rededicated her life to joining the "family business" - law enforcement.

She was drafted straight out of the academy to join the governor's special task force, Five-0, to help rid Hawaii of major crime. Law enforcement is a good fit for Kono, since she's very good at kicking ass and taking names. Kono has rescued herself from the trunk of a car, is efficient and deadly with a sniper rifle, regularly chases down suspects and kicks them, and has even fought off a Serbian gangster and an assassin in the line of duty (though not at the same time). She's also smart, and a whiz with technology. She tends to be the team's second-go-to for running tests and things through the different crime labs. Kono has built a lot of the evidence in the cases, which others on her team build upon. She takes her job very seriously, and is very hard on herself when she makes a mistake. She's starting to take after her boss, Steve, meaning that the ends justify the means. This does come back to haunt her when she temporarily loses her badge by bending the rules, which actually turned out to be an undercover assignment to take down a dirty cop. Why she agreed to the situation leads into her next personality trait.

Kono's fiercely loyal to those around her, especially her cousin Chin Ho Kelly. The entire police department suspected Chin of being corrupt, which led to him being dismissed from the force. Kono, however, defended him even when the rest of their family wrote him off as being dirty. No matter how much evidence piled up against Chin, she wasn't willing to buy it. Kono's also shown her loyalty to the other members on her team, in part by taking the before mentioned undercover assignment to protect the rest of Five-0 and by traveling to Korea to save her boss. She protects those close to her.

Kono is extremely compassionate and does well with children. Often she is the one left to talk with child witnesses during cases, which she once quipped was because she was the woman on the team (Danny replied it was because she was the rookie, which was way worse). While she does take her work very seriously, she also has a mischevious side. In high school she was busted for underage drinking and night surfing, and she once sent a suspect a dirty text posing a stripper. Kono is definitely not all work and no play, but the work is important.

She'll be pulled from the end of season 2, where her fate hangs in the balance after she's been kicked into the water while being bound. Waking up in Mayfield (again) will be quite jarring for her.

Abilities: surfing, roundhouse kicks, firearms (especially sniper rifles)

Is there anybody out there with a bathing suit that doesn't cover from neck to knee? I feel ridiculous in this thing, and it's hot enough that I want to swim. Even if I have to swim in chlorine.

Although, thinking about it, a pair of panties and a bra is kind of like a bathing suit, right?

Character Name: Dave Strider
Character Series: Homestuck
Character Age: 13
Background: a wiki

Personality:

Dave is quite possibly the coolest kid to ever exist, in any universe. Even hot alien chicks can't get enough of charm and style, and his delicately tuned sense of irony is unmatched. All of his friends are also completely convinced by this, and would never question his unerring coolness, instead choosing to crawl about on the ground by his feet and worship his every red tinted word. Or I guess in more truthful terms, Dave is in the dictionary next to “trying way too hard.” He sets himself to be a paragon of cool, doing whatever it takes to be perceived or seen as fucking awesome. He practically worships everything his Bro does and refuses to see fault in it, from the puppetry to the outright stupid (who keeps swords in the fridge how are you supposed to get Hot Pockets out?), and strives to become what he believes is a level of cool untouchable by everyone else. He creates stupid comics, dumb websites, and shitty blogs, all for the sake of the Holy Irony In The Sky (with Diamonds), distances himself emotionally from his friends, and generally denies being affected by anything else beyond awe at his own incredible self.

Even his interests seem to focus on creating an image, though he is quite fond of his music. He has his own set of turntables, and uses them to create sweet jams and shit, and is seen sending them to Jade. He also has a fascination with rap, and rapbattles, which I guess are so outdated (and also really, dave, really??) that they are now coming back around the other way as cool and ironic. Of course, what actually is ironic, and what isn't, is a pretty fine and often fuzzy line, and sometimes just doesn't make any sense at all. He never speaks directly, much preferring to completely avoid the point by being intentionally obtuse, using metaphors, phrasing and assholishness to compensate. He can be pretty hard to pin down and communicate with, and will avoid discussing upsetting topics by getting more and more wrapped and wound up in his metaphors until the point is lost. It's pretty silly. When he's really wound up or upset, he verges onto the nonsensical territory, trying to maintain his facade even when just about everyone else can see right through it - and when angered, will maintain his perfect pokerface until pushed just too far, at which point he will absolutely flip his shit. Ironically, for a Knight of Time, he can also be sort of forgetful, including misremembering his own equipment, though this may just be him being flippant.

He sets himself up as sort of an asshole, especially when the game begins. He picks on his friends for not understanding sylladexes and the things they enjoy, and seems to put a lot of importance on being able to understand the things that they have not experienced yet. A lifetime of being prepared for the game by his Bro instilled a sense of both independence and almost crippling insecurity. It's important to him to be able to prove himself, though the reasons seem to be fairly mixed - including both wanting to be able to protect those he cares about, and proving himself to them at the same time. Beneath a carefully crafted layer of irony, aloofness and just generally being a cool shit, he's actually just a insecure kid who wants approval and praise from his friends. He's pretty heavily affected by his emotions, but has spent so long hiding them that he effectively cripples his ability to express them. He is very insecure about his abilities, even questioning his own assigned role - though over the course of the game, he seems to grow to accept his position, putting aside some of his own internal debate for the good of himself, and his friends.

What Dave is afraid of most though, seems to be death. He is pretty freaked out by seeing the dead bodies of himself from alternate timelines, and can't bring himself to sacrifice, well, himself for God Tier (which involves dying on your quest bed) - despite his complaining to Terezi about being unable to match John's newfound power. He also has a pretty strange way of dealing with the death of his Bro at the hands of Jack Noir, being unable to bring himself to actually discuss it in any serious way, and losing a handle on his cool facade. An important development over the course of the game is his growing ability to relate to those he cares about, and be willing to stand and face the fears he has - including demanding he take what would be a suicide mission rather than let Rose go, and even after she knocks him out and runs ahead, he joins her anyway - facing his own fears, and for it being able to achieve the God Tier that had escaped him earlier.

Also he's really freaked out by puppets, I thought that'd be a good place to end this.

Abilities:

- Dave is a very well trained swordsman, having spent most of his life being raised for participating in Sburb by his Bro. He’s incredibly fast and has great reflexes (a necessity for living in the Strider home with their tendency to keep sharp objects in the most random of places), though he does have a habit of accidentally breaking his blade in half.

- His Time Powers, oh boy. As the Knight of Time, Dave has the ability to Time Travel, and in the event of creating a Stable Loop (meaning that no event in the past has changed radically enough to prevent Future Dave from going back in time in the first place, and thus past Dave can meet up again on the Alpha Timeline), can make multiples of himself as long as they remain on the Alpha Timeline. Also, he only really goes back in time - it’s far safer than hopping forwards. This could be pretty gamebreaking, but also requires equipment to use and can result in Alternate Timelines which then results in A Dead/Doomed Dave, and Dead Daves are the enemy.

- He is a incredibly talented artist, just wow. It’s amazing the things he creates.

- Also, he’s pretty much the best rapper you’ve ever heard.

- Those last two might be lies.

- But maybe they aren’t??

Preferred Housing: 1447 Mitchell Road; I have permission

Character Name: Hilda
Character Series: Pokemon Black
Character Age: 17
Background: Black and White Plot; Hilda

Personality: At first glance, Hilda seems like a quiet, go-with-the-flow kind of girl (maybe that's why she chose a water-type as her starter). This isn't incorrect; she's a neutral presence between her two long-time friends, serious, competitive Cheren and flighty, uncertain Bianca. Mediation isn't unknown to her, and she's learned how to listen to all sides of an argument before expressing an opinion on it.

Hilda isn't entirely neutral, however. She does have strong opinions, even if she doesn't express them right away, and will fight for what she thinks is right and against what she thinks is wrong. She won't begrudge someone their opinions on an issue, but she isn't easily swayed. It's possible to change her mind, but she has to have good reason before she considers it.

As a Pokemon trainer she is more competitive than Bianca, but less insistently competitive than Cheren. Hilda's aim was the championship--a goal she succeeded in--but she travels with Pokemon for the sake of doing so, enjoying being out and about, traveling the world with her companions. She does have moments of intensity, however; it isn't unheard of for her to spend great lengths of time out in a forest simply improving her Pokemon before the next challenge, or battling every trainer in the area before challenging a gym leader.

Hilda has always been drawn to technology and cities, being up to date on the latest technology and at home in the largest settlements. This isn't to say she doesn't enjoy nature--as a Pokemon trainer, she is accustomed to spending a great amount of time in the wilderness--but she prefers the bustle of a city more. Always in search of things to do and places to go, she finds the bright lights and large buildings to be a draw for her. She's also a night person, and the constant lights and activity work well for her.

Hilda is a neutral presense. She strikes a balance between Bianca's flighty wandering and Cheren's laserlike focus on the championship as a girl who enjoys traveling for its own sake, even though she had dreams of succeeding in the Pokemon League which eventually came true. She works well at a mediator, willing to listen to different sides and help people work through their issues, give opinions, or simply act as a sounding board. At times she can come across as having no opinion at all on matters, but her opinions are expressed more in actions than words, from pursuing villains across the region to helping a lost Pokemon find its way home. Hilda believes actions speak louder than words.

Because of this willingness to listen and urge to seek to understand the opinions of others, Hilda dislikes those who seek to push their opinions onto others, especially if they have selfish reasons for doing so. She believes in the ability of all people to choose for themselves what's right, provided they are not causing harm to others. She can't sit by and allow anyone to force harmful things upon others, especially, although she will try to intervene in less dramatically harmful cases as well.

Hilda is outgoing, willing to strike up conversations with everyone she meets. She is as good at listening, as previously mentioned, as she is at speaking her part, and her attitude is an honest one. She dislikes lying, although she is a teenager and will indulge in occasional white lies at times. Hilda tries to make friends with those around her, and holds the friends she makes close. It is this attitude that endears her to those around her most readily.

This same attitude means Hilda gets along very well with Pokemon in her world as well. She has an intuitive knowledge of the body language and expressions of her Pokemon team, practically having conversations with them at times. She trusts her team and because of this they trust her, which creates a group that works well together. It is this trust which allowed her to excel and defeat the Elite Four, as well as N and Ghestis.

This is not to say that she is entirely without a sense of seriousness, of course. She takes great pains to train her Pokemon team, and it's not unusual to see her spending hours at it every day, travelling through a forest or battling every other trainer in the area. This is not harshness toward her team, however; she trusts that they will be able to complete the challenges she sets for them, and if any of her Pokemon didn't want to be on the team, she would not force them to be. Fighting and training is another way of enhancing the trust she has with them, in her eyes. It's as much a bonding process as it is preparation for competition.

Hilda is independent and enjoys exploration. Having been raised in a single parent household for as long as she can remember, she has long since grown used to taking care of herself to various degrees. This isn't to say she doesn't have a very loving mother, simply that Hilda learned that one way to make things easier was to learn to do some things on her own. She is a competent, although not outstanding, cook, and she is willing to do her share of the chores without complaint (well, usually). She spent much of her childhood doing odd jobs around town to earn money, and was always willing to help her mother with a shopping trip.

Hilda appreciates the wilderness; although it isn't her favorite setting, it's not her least favorite, either. When she comes upon an unexplored area her thoughts are set to exploring it, discovering secret passages and hidden items with enthusiasm. Often when the seasons change she will make a point of returning to try and find new areas that may have been inaccessable before. Her map has been well-used, with various annotations scribbled all over it, things she's made note of to check later or places she met various Pokemon written on the sides.

Hilda is most at home in the city. Ever since she first set eyes on Castelia City she knew this was the life for her, and eventually plans on settling down in one. The bustle of people and Pokemon all around her at all times of the day and night excites her, and she likes having easy access to anything she might need. There's always something to see and something to do, and she walks the streets like she was a born city girl and not like she was really from rural Nuvema Town. Comfortable with the technology that cities bring, she is always interested in the latest gadgets, making frequent trips to Opelucid City's futuristic splendor and directing those in need of a place to set up shop to the growing Black City, which she finds especially interesting.

Abilities: Aside from her Pokemon team, she has no supernatural abilities. Her team consists of Samurott, Liepard, Maractus, Cinccino, Reuniclus, and Meinshao. She also has other Pokemon kept in boxes on the PC, and has Reshiram, a legendary Pokemon, as she is its hero. Without her Pokemon, she's a very athletic, but human, girl.

Sample Entry: [Hilda wanted extra money, and since she wasn't getting much by way of allowance, it seemed like she had to get a job. Carhopping was only something she'd heard about, but it didn't seem all that hard.

Well, maybe she hadn't really expected the skates. How difficult it would be to keep her balance in them, specifically. Wobbling and trying not to lock her knees in a desperate attempt to stay still, she wished she had one of her Pokemon with her to help her keep her balance.

She makes her way to the car far more slowly than the other girls working. How can they move so fast with those trays in one hand, it's all she can do to keep herself up and hold her tray tightly in both. She skates her way through the others little by little.]

Excuse me... I'm sorry... Oh! Sorry, I'm a bit new at this, ahaha...

[Eventually she reaches the car and delivers her tray, looking a bit more relieved than one might expect to have a car to balance against for a moment.]

Enjoy your meal! ...I'll make sure to pick up the tray when you're done.

[She smiles and skates off back to take more food to customers.

She really only mentioned the tray because she forgot to pick it up last time.]

Or any of the Mayfield entries in [personal profile] achromous if you need a better sample!

Note: I am planning on bringing Hilda back with her old regains and memories of Mayfield.

Character Name: Kenpachi Zaraki
Character Series: Bleach (Anime, Hueco Mundo Arc, Directly after Ichigo runs off to fight Ulquiorra)
Character Age: Unknown. Looks somewhere between 20 and 50.
Background: http://bleach.wikia.com/wiki/Kenpachi_Zaraki
Personality: Although he's known to be a violent fighter, Kenpachi's actions tend to be for the best. He has a very poor sense of direction, at times asking Yachiru for help (even though her sense of direction is just as bad). Kenpachi lives for battle and enjoys a good fight more than anything. He even holds back in an effort to make any fight last longer. He also claims that injury and death are nothing but the price one pays for a good fight.

Although he thrives for battle, Kenpachi has shown to care about his lieutenant, Yachiru, who he has a father-daughter-like relationship with, making Yachiru one of the few people he cares for, along with 3rd Seat Ikkaku Madarame and 5th Seat Yumichika Ayasegawa.

Aside from Yachiru, Kenpachi deeply gives meaning to his name. Following his fight with Ichigo Kurosaki, Kenpachi talks about the pain of not having a name, as he lived his early years without one. This causes him to feel guilty that his sword isn't acknowledged by its own name. Since then, he has attempted to learn it's name

Despite his tendency to be brutal, Kenpachi usually stops a fight if his opponent is too injured to fight back, claiming that he isn't interested in fighting "weaklings who can't fight anymore; nor is he obligated to deal a death blow to anyone who isn't capable of fighting any longer". However, he will unhesitatingly kill his opponent if they refuse to end their fight, as seen during his battle with Nnoitora. It seems that Kenpachi sometimes contradicts his own logic in fighting. On the one hand, Kenpachi wishes to increase his own personal power. On the other hand, he conceals his strength to enjoy a fight for as long as possible.

On multiple occasions, Kenpachi has shown to greatly respect those who can defeat him in a fight and to those who can push him to his limit. Ever since Ichigo handed him his first known loss, Kenpachi has considered the latter a member of his division, and has also attempted to engage him in a rematch nearly every time they meet, only to be turned down (Usually by Ichigo running away). Nevertheless, Kenpachi still wishes to fight him again.Kenpachi also strongly believes that fun comes before working. In every battle, he tries to get as much enjoyment out of it as possible.

Abilities: Kenpachi's spiritual pressure is strong enough to defend him from attacks by weak opponents. His strength and skill are so great that he can fight and defeat some of the captains, even if they are using their Bankai. He is very adept at figuring out the weaknesses in his opponents techniques. He doesn't use kido or flash step, and has to rely on his five senses, since he can't sense spiritual pressure. He is incredibly strong, being able to kick Tosen through a wall, as well as being able to grab Ichigo's sword and reel him and his sword in for an attack. He is able to ignore most of his injuries in battle and still move, even if some of these injuries would disable most humans. He can use Kendo, but prefers not to, as it makes his fights too easy. He also has an unusual amount of speed for someone who doesn't use flash step.

Sample Entry: [A man was standing in a house. He had just arrived in this place a few hours ago, and was staring at the phone.]

How the hell is this thing supposed to work? Do I just talk into this hook thing?

[He picked up the reciever, and put it to his ear.]

Alright, I'm just going to assume there's someone on the other end of this thing...whoever is there, wanna fight? Right now? Cause I am incredibly bored. If you want to fight, I'll be at the Park.

[He then dropped the reciever onto back into place, and headed out the door, hoping he'd have someone to fight soon.]

Preferred Housing: 625 Topper Street – Permission received from all parties.
Note: I played Sniper previously in Mayfield and am returning him with all his memories of the place. He had several regains, but the items I'd like for him to still have in his closet are his bow, his hat with crocodile teeth, and his BLU shirt with the Anger Hood attached.

Character Name: BLU Sniper || Mason Mundy (Canonly he only has a last name so I'm inventing a first name for him to avoid confusion with his RED counterpart.)
Character Series: Team Fortress 2
Character Age: 37
Background: Wiki Link

But to sum it all up: “In his former life as a tracker of dangerous game in the unforgiving Australian outback, the Sniper would spend months by himself. Prolonged isolation taught him a valuable lesson: You don't have to rely on other people if you never miss.”

Since that's basically all the canon we get here's some supplemental headcanon:

Sniper grew up with a set of incredibly overbearing parents who constantly pushed him towards getting a 'real' job and settling down with a wife and some kids in a nice suburban setting. His mother was supportive of him, but his father was a raging alcoholic who idolized Saxton Hale, the epitome of Australian manliness. Because Sniper didn't conform to any of the traditional ideals of what an Australian man should be; no moustache, tall and skinny instead of large and muscular, and can't punch through crocodiles, he grew to resent both his father and Saxton Hale. The fact that Saxton Hale once punched him into a lake to try and make a man out of him didn't help much.

Sniper's early life was spent in a small town in Australia and was fairly average. Shooting was a hobby he developed when he was quite young in order to have something to occupy his time. Considering where he lived it wasn't hard to sneak off and line up some cans in a tree without anyone interfering or asking where the hell he got a gun in the first place. His parents were a bit suspicious when all the money he earned mysteriously disappeared on bullets and hats. But they never expected that he'd end up in America as a hired gunman.

He once almost had what his parents wanted. He had been dating and living with his high school sweetheart for six years before he proposed, they were engaged for a little less than a year before she decided to end it. While she really did love him and care about him, he just wasn't Australian enough and she was a woman with a lot of ambition and pride and decided to leave him for a man that Sniper had fought with all his life.

Not taking any of this well at all, he ran off into the bush with just a rifle and some provisions just to think things through. Blaming himself for ruining his only chance at happiness, he fell into a rut of hunting, drinking and stifling his emotions. He enjoyed the solitude and not having any responsibility except to himself. Prior to this he had worked for a company that led hunting excursions excursions into the Outback, helping to keep together small groups of people and track game so that they could mount something on their walls back home. While he had always enjoyed hunting, doing it on his own, without the responsibility of keeping track of a bunch of wealthy businessmen became an absolute joy to him. He only ventured into town when he needed something, completely avoiding any contact with people, especially with his father who he felt he was slowly becoming.

A few years later he was recruited by BLU to become what he termed an 'assassin' to hunt down any members of the opposing organization RED. It pays well, he gets to remain mostly alone, and he's a man who really enjoys his work. He still keeps in touch with his parents occasionally, though they're less than pleased about his career choice even though he makes more money than any doctor. He still feels duty bound to call them and write them post cards, though he knows it will only end in a shouting match between him and his father.

But for as much as they complain that he's a 'crazed gunman' he really enjoys his job, though these days he favors his handmade bow over the rifle. It's a point of personal pride with him to never miss a shot. Unlike most members of BLU he's not assigned to any one base or any one team, traveling around to hunt down certain people. This adds to his isolation as he's never in one place long enough to get to know anyone, just the way he likes it. If you start knowing people, you start to care when they're messily killed on the battlefield. He's been stationed at every base TF2 Industries has except for Teufort and Sawmill. Most recently he had been at Badwater Basin, helping to push a bomb into the enemy base.

Enkidu | Fate/Strange Fake | Not Reserved

Personal LJ: [personal profile] elemia
Contact Info: AIM - CodeAmon, Plurk - Xia_V

Preferred Housing: 1248 Williams Road (Permissions were given by the Utsuho player)

Character Name: Enkidu (No canon last name, so let’s go with Shamhat for the purpose of housing)
Character Series: Fate/Strange Fake
Character Age: Very old, but has the appearance of being in his early to mid 20s.
Background: Here‘s one, two, and three.

Personality: Enkidu, first and foremost out of everything else, is a very loyal person. Granted he is loyal to one person being Gilgamesh, if he makes a friend or a companion with someone then he is most likely to form a good bond of friendship with that person until something drastically happens to sever it, whether it be him or them. A good example of this would be on his own deathbed when he was cursed by the gods by illness from divine punishment, he couldn’t help but cry tears stating questioning Gilgamesh on after his (Enkidu’s) death, who would be the only person left to understand him and be at his side when he is gone from this world. And even now, when summoned to participate in the Holy Grail War, when his Master was in danger of being killed (being a wolf chimera), Enkidu immediately tended to the wolf as he (passively) threatened to kill the magus that had intended to kill the wolf. Once he had realized Gilgamesh had been summoned as well to the Grail War he had been summoned to, Enkidu felt all sorts of emotions shifting from frustration and anger to overwhelming joy to see his friend again and once again continue their match the two had from the first day they had met.

Enkidu also seems to be someone who is keeps a cool head and figures things out as they go. Not only being Gilgamesh’s friend, he also advised Gilgamesh on things through out their time together. Namely one being against Gilgamesh’s idea attempting to fame and glory slaying the Guardian of the Forest: Humbaba, which Gilgamesh still did anyway because he’s Gilgamesh. But he continued to be a main source of support for Gilgamesh through whatever situation.

Another thing to note about Enkidu is that even though he is ‘civilized’, he will retain that wild nature of his, which will be the rare times he ever loses his cool head at the initial moment. Namely, he won’t take kindly to those he sees as a threat to himself or to his close ones. He will lash out at those who belittle Gilgamesh or curse him. He even gets enraged at Gilgamesh once when he shown pity at Humbaba before killing him for even thinking about showing signs of hesitation after going so far. Another example was shown that when Ishtar was crying for the death of the Bull of Heaven, Enkidu hurls one of the bull’s hindquarters’ at her to shut her up since she was the one responsible for bringing it out.

Despite being still somewhat savage yet civil, Enkidu remains to be one of the nicer people to be around with. He was willing to help out shepherds with their flock after being civilized, he was even willing to throw himself in front of Gilgamesh’s way to defend the honor of some bride he didn’t even know before being bad touched by the king and wrestled through the streets of the kingdom for a long while before being beaten-- only to gain a friend for life afterward! Only thing he has an issue with is he has the tendency to say the wrong things at times in a foot-in-mouth manner.

Abilities: A condensed post in his journal listed here.

He also happens to be a good carpenter since he was able to fashion a great cedar tree into a door to one of the local temples for a local god!

Sample Entry: Here is a link of his post in his previous stay in Mayfield and I have other posts and threads in his journal that has been transferred from the LJ to DW move.

Also, I am apping him with his memories and regains if that is permissible.

Name: Dan
Personal Journal: N/A
Contact Info: AIM: LuffyDan E-mail: Strawhatgamer@gmail.com
Other Characters Played: Not Currently
Preferred Housing: 849 Goldberg Street

Character Name: Korra
Character Series: The Legend of Korra
Character Age: 17
Background: avatar.wikia.com/wiki/Korra
Personality: For starters, Korra is extremely hot-headed. Rather than talking out differences and solving problems peacefully, Korra is usually the first to send a fist of fire at some one she dislikes. She hates authority, is often breaking the rules, and is always causing a fuss. Against the authority of her tribe, Korra ran away from home to receive training that had been delayed in order to master her bending sooner. It shows that she is impatient and if it comes to it, she'll go to the fight rather than wait for it to come to her. She has, on multiple occasions, gotten in trouble with the law. After being arrested for breaking up a fight with petty gang members, Korra still had the gull to back-talk to the chief of police.

Though for all of her faults in anger and quick-to-leap-into-trouble syndrome, Korra is rather grounded. She deals with the knowledge that she is the Avatar, a being which has been reincarnated time and time again in order to bring balance to the world, as if it were a simple thing. Either due to the fact that she likes to show off, or that she hasn't had much time to sit and dwell on it, she has countless times risen to the call of her title and has done a "decent" job of serving the public. Very rarely does Korra become worried or concerned with troubles that face her. Rather than spend time moping about it, Korra usually plows right into her problems with a "sort it out once it's over" mentality.

Korra is rather butch for being a young girl. She doesn't wear the typical attire a woman would wear, nor does she practice the manners of a young lady. She'd rather be bending, running around and getting into trouble, and also competing in belching contests with her team mate Bo-Lin. Even with this appearance, Korra is still a girl at heart. She secretly pines over her other team mate, Mako, whom she has had conflicted trysts with. Deep down she wishes to win his affections, but duty and sportsmanship have become higher priorities on her list these days. When speaking of love, Korra goes from her rugged demeanor to a soft and more gentle personality. Behind that thick skin is a girl in love.

Thus far in Korra's story, she has only broken down once. With the fear that her new enemy poses, Korra has become a bit more on edge, showing that even her tough girl persona can unfortunately be cracked by the danger of losing not just her powers, but her identity as the Avatar. When confronted and disabled by Amann (the leader of a radical group called The Equalists). Korra was living in a constant state of fear and dread. Nothing is more frightening than losing the ability to bend, in Korra's eyes. Though through this danger, with the help of her friends, Korra has been able to regain herself and keep her cool. She has become honest with herself, and her fear, in order to control her emotions and stand all when the call is made. Through this dilemma, Korra shows her progression of what is most important to herself and what she fears most. Bending was the most important thing in her life, until she realized that the safety of her friends and the people of the world are what matter most.

Abilities: As the Avatar, Korra has the unique ability to master all four elements, rendering her the most powerful bender in the world. Furthermore, since she was young, Korra has always had a remarkable affinity for the physical aspect of bending, though she struggles with its spiritual aspects. Full list of abilities can be found here under the "Abilities" portion.
Sample Entry:
[Prom was approaching. The time when young couples got their chance to dance and share feelings with one another on the gymnasium floor. It wasn't as if Korra had never danced before, but the thought of getting close to a guy like that didn't particularly sit well with her. Nevertheless, she had to swallow her pride less she be pointed at and called a "tom boy" again. Entering the kitchen, she approached her NotMother with some questions.]

"Hey Miss-Uh-I mean-Mom..? Can.. Can I ask you some thing?"

Why sure you can, sweetheart! What is it that you're wondering?

"Man, I can't believe I'm talking to her like this.. AHEM. Uh, so.. How.. How do you ask some one.. To.. Ya' know.. A DANCE</>?"

A dance? Well, you shouldn't ask some one to the dance, dear. A boy must ask you.

"A boy's gotta' ask me? Well.. Uhh.. Let's say that no boy is going to ask you BUT you've still gotta' go 'cause you don't wanna' be the only girl in school to not have a date and get laughed at?"

If you cannot find a date, dear Korra, than I suppose you shouldn't go. A girl like you would have trouble finding a suitable date now, wouldn't she?

"Wah-?!" [Korra clenches her fists, her cheeks puffing up as she began to pout.] "What's that supposed ta' mean?!"

Simply put, my dear, that you are a bit of a "tom boy".

[Korra begins to grit her teeth, grinding them together as her hands began to glow a fire red.]

"Say.. Say that again? I couldn't hear you right. Did you.. Did you just call me..?"

A tom boy, yes.

[Korra's raised a single hand to shoot a ball of fire into the far wall in front of her.]

"So what if I am?! Who wouldn't want to go to the dance with me?! I'm.. I'm better than any of those soft and "dainty" girls in town! Not my fault all the boys in town can't hold a candle to how awesome I am!"

[The Drone Mother calmly retrieves a pitcher and fills it with water, dowsing the wall with it before the small blaze could spread.]

Yes, dear. Whatever you say. Remember what I told you about playing in the house now, dear.

[Stomping her feet down into the floor, Korra turns to storm away.]

"And remember that I told you it isn't playing, MOM! It's BENDING!!"

Character Name: Scott Pilgrim
Character Series: Scott Pilgrim vs. The World
Character Age: 23
Background: http://scottpilgrim.wikia.com/wiki/Scott_Pilgrim
Personality: Thoughtless, self-centered, a braggart, a coward, and a hero. These are all things that Scott Pilgrim represents in his personality and actions. His thoughtlessness comes from the many hours of video games he's wasted his life on. He's a sucker and a treasure trove of knowledge for anything pertaining to retro gaming and music, as well as other nerdy pop-culture trivia. He forgets anything that doesn't directly involve himself, i.e. birthdays and tasks he's been asked to do. He often forgets to do chores around his shared apartment, having been asked many times by his then girlfriend Ramona Flowers to empty the dishwasher but instead he'll spend 8+ hours playing games on her cellphone. Though he may be polite from his Canadian upbringing, Scott has in the past been the worst example of caution and compassion. The very fact that he had at one point been dating two girls at the same time without either of them knowing about the other proves just how thoughtless and selfish he is.

Scott believes himself to the main character in his own movie/comic book/whatever medium is being represented at the time. He exploits this fact and has many times broken the "Fourth Wall", and referenced events which have happened in previous chapters of his story and even in future chapters which have yet to happen. He only cares about himself, doing what needs to be done so long as it helps him further along, but more often than not has some one else pick up the slack for him.

He's a coward in that he never seems to face his problems directly. Instead he'll whine and complain at first, seeking counsel in his room mate Wallace or clinging to his girlfriend Ramona's skirt. He shirks his duties as a bass player in his band, puts off trying to find a steady job, is terrible at completing favors that are asked for him, and in general.. he's just utterly undependable and flaky.

Scott walks a rigid line between cocky and confidence. Subconsciously, he'll put himself down a lot and wallow in self-misery. Other times, he'll hold his chest high and claim he's "the Greatest Man Who Ever Lived" like that one Weezer song. He'll boldly exclaim to a pretty face how incredible he is one moment, then the next say how terrible the band he plays in is. He suffers from the Marty McFly syndrome, where if you call him a coward/chicken, he'll plunge head first into a fight without thinking of the consequences. This merely adds to how foolish and thoughtless he is, but also shows how arrogant he can become.

Even through all of these faults and flaws, Scott IS a hero at heart. He DOES know the difference between right and wrong, and what true justice is, but he does forget it from time to time (okay, a lot of the time) but in the end he does what is right and fights to save what he wishes to protect. In the end of all things, Scott does mature and grow, and come to realize that in life, you get hurt. This is how he is able to gain control of the Sword of Understanding, a powerful weapon which Scott is able to wield from within himself. Scott is capable of understanding and thinking of others feelings, and so he is able to fight his toughest fight, and save what he loves and cares for.

As a whole, Scott should not be a likeable hero. But, like ivy, he grows on you. He is pure-hearted at his core, and will fight when the fight must be fought. If one thing does ring true with Scott, it is that his desire to live is strong.

Abilities: Scott is a highly capable fighter, using various moves and techniques derived from various games, most noticeably from the Street Fighter series. Scott's fighting prowess is said to be incredible; according to Kim Pine, it's earned him the title "the best fighter in the Province". He can employ incredible moves such as the Shoryuken and the Air Juggle. Scott has also shown the ability to level up, doing so increases his stats, and grants him a sword to use in combat, Scott is as skilful with swords as he is at hand-to-hand combat, due to him taking a longsword proficiency in grade 5.
Sample Entry:
((Not sure if this is acceptable put this is from a previous post I made with Scott before I got kicked out from AC due to me being an idiot and shoddy internet connection woes. Let me know if you'd like me to post a new one if this is unacceptable, please!))

[Scott, having faced the grim reality that nothing was going to save him from the cold, evil clutches of the town was now filled with a resolve like any other he had felt before. He knew the answer to the ultimate question. It was not 42, no. He simply needed nothing more than a phone, and a will.\

She'll be pulled post series.

Personality: On the outside, Sasami's easily the little sister you want to have in your house and the picture perfect vision of the perfect housewife. Sweet, adorable and lovable to a fault, Sasami is always one to put a smile on anyone's faces. She's always shown to be helpful around the house, to the point where she's almost a workaholic - she hates the idea of getting sick because if she does, that means the house might end up falling apart without her. This is mostly due to the fact that she feels that she needs to pay back for the hospitality, no matter how much they say she doesn't need to.

Despite being a sweetheart, Sasami has shown a more stern side, willing to put her foot down when needed and defend. When her father, Emperor Azusa, came to take away Sasami and her sister Ayeka, she first told him no... then said that if he forced her, she'd hate him forever. And when a Galaxy Police officer attempted to capture Sasami, she easily fought back, defeating her with ease.

As well, Sasami is also somewhat of a prankster, though this rarely rears its face. When she first appeared to Tenchi, she pranked him into trying to get Ayeka's headpiece, knowing full well that he'd pull something boneheaded like taking the sword she swiped from him. If she thinks she can get a rise out of anyone, she'll be more than happy to do this, but she's pretty much tempered down from that sort of thing.

However, Sasami has a major dark side to her, one she doesn't like to reveal - she's dead. At least, that's what she thinks. When she was younger, she accidentally fell off a platform, hitting the very bottom of her homeworld's arboretum, only to be saved by the goddess Tsunami. In turn, Sasami thinks that she's nothing more than a vessel for Tsunami, that the real Sasami has been dead since that day. She fears that, if anyone ever found out about that secret, everything she worked for would be ruined. Though her friends and family now know of this, she still keeps it bottled up, afraid of what may happen.

Abilities: Hoo, BOY. Where to begin? Physically, Sasami's an amazing cook, cleaner and an accomplished staff master, able to fight off even the most skilled fighters.

Beyond that... as a Juraian, she is incredibly long-lived (however, the fact that she's physically 8 but 700 years older than that was due to suspended animation from bordeom). Her blood allows her to utilize various Juraian items. As well, she has possession of a powerful warship known as "Tsunami." The same as the goddess she's bonded to.

As for her connection to Tsunami, I'm not going to go into it - truthfully, it's an entirely different can of worms that not only would break the game, but is technically a whole other character. So, no.

Sample Entry: [Normal day in Mayfield... or well, it should be, all things considered, and despite the oddness of where she was, Sasami was busy trying to continue on with her daily duties: cooking, cleaning, trying to keep her house in order. But... it didn't feel right. There was no chaos, no wild and wacky surprises. Frankly, it was boring.

Looking at the reflection on a pot, she let out a self-conscious sigh. She didn't have the twin triangle marking on her forehead. Even more? She was looking at herself - not the goddess she was bonded with. What happened to her? Was she even alive? Was--?]

Sasami, dear, why don't you go out and play with your friends?

Huh? Oh, no, no, it's okay! 'Sides, Dinner's almost ready.

Nonsense. You have plenty of time to cook and everything else when you're older, now go on and play. [With that, Sasami found herself being lead outside by her "mother"]

N-No, no, it's okay! Really! I don't-- [Aaaand out the door she goes!] --want to. [she lets out a sigh.] I wish I was back home. I hope everyone's okay there...

Character Name: Lily Evans
Character Series: Harry Potter
Character Age: 17
Background: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_potter#Plot
Personality:

Lily Evans is marked by gentleness. Precocious at an early age, her sharp sense of observance veers towards kindness, and it shapes her relationship with those around her from close family and friends to strangers. The first glimpse we get of a young Lily is chastising her older sister for calling her a freak, less out of indignation, and more out of concern at the malice of her sister’s words. She is quick to defend her sister--despite her harsh words and demeanor, due to her ability to see the good in her underneath her lack of acceptance. Her friendship with the young Severus Snape is another example of her kindness. The young boy from a poverty stricken neighborhood gains her innocent affection and her unwavering friendship. Lily’s faith in others shine through this friendship as she keeps standing up for a friend even as they drift apart.

The ability to love through and through, however, is Lily’s strongest trait. Ranging from her faith in her family as she tries to reach out to her estranged sister, to her complete devotion to those she holds close: her husband and her child. It is Lily’s exceptional love--an old form of strong magic--that manages to keep her child safe through its ultimate protection. She willingly sacrifices her life in order to keep her son alive. This love is enhanced by a fundamental and exceptional courage, standing up to bullies during her school years, and from then on defying a dark wizard by refusing to join his cause.

Lily’s courage is supplemented by her strong mindedness and perhaps even her strong headedness. Her fiery temper is reserved for those preying on the weak, even if it has to be directed at her future husband. Her strong sense of justice gets the better of her sometimes, prompting her to lash out with her sharp tongue to those deserving her anger. James Potter comes to mind, for whom she has very little patience. She is quick to see beyond his popularity, latching onto his arrogance and his tendency to hex other students as a past time. Similarly, her solid principles is what she lives by, lending to her unwavering resolve. However, Lily has to balance a struggle between her non-wizard background and the new life and atmosphere she is introduced to. Dealing with the prejudices that come with adapting to the wizarding world, she also deals with the conflict in her deteriorating relationship with her only sister, who does not take kindly to Lily’s vastly different new life.

Extremely talented, Lily’s exceptional talent has made her well liked among her peers and professors in addition to her sweet nature. She is described as “exceedingly bright”, especially for her ordinary background. Her wit is apparent under nicer circumstances when its sharpness is not used in anger, the former which she is remembered for by her potions professor, if fondly so. She tends to be overwhelmed by emotions, her sympathy taking the better of her when losing loved ones whether to death or estrangement. She is tender hearted enough to be kept awake for nights after the death of her colleagues, and bursting in tears at her sister’s harsh treatment of her. She is, however, able to weigh logic over emotions, choosing to end her friendship with her oldest friend when it threatens a break with her principles.

Abilities:
As a witch, Lily possesses an inherent ability to perform magic, although she’s proficient at some particular disciplines more so than other ones, namely spell dueling and transfiguration.

Sample Entry:

This is certainly was not what I had in mind whenever my parents joked about pulling me out of Hogwarts into a “normal school”. And across the ocean, no less! I do hope it’s just a prank. I can’t bear to think of them waiting innocently for my arrival back home at the platform.

Not that I’m going to be any lenient if it is a prank! The nerve of them--whomever they are, although I’m starting to have a good idea now--sending me into the past and to another country altogether. You tell an arrogant toerag to go snog the Giant Squid and he blasts you off across the ocean! That will be something to answer for... As soon as I get my wand to start working again.

Character Name: Jazz. No last name.
Character Series: Transformers G1
Character Age: Many millions of years. When he's human, he appears mid-late 20's.
Background: I'm taking him from before the 1986 cartoon movie in the G1 canon. A nice breakdown of the episodes he's in can be found http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Jazz_%28G1%29/Generation_1_cartoon_continuity Chronologically, he's more likely in the late 1980s or early 1990s, though there's a 20-year gap between the end of season 2 and the 1986 movie, with the 3rd season being set after the movie. His canon point would be somewhere between the two, though, as he is already familiar with Autobot City, something that doesn't come into play until between season 2 and the movie.

Personality: Jazz is one of the friendliest members of the Autobots, and one of the most popular amongst their ranks because of his playfulness and fun, upbeat nature. He enjoys the company of others and goes out of his way to be around his friends when he's in his off-time. He dislikes seeing others unhappy and always does his best to keep the morale of the team up. He's not above playing a few jokes, though, mostly against the resident Autobot prankster, Sideswipe. The two have been known to engage in prank battles before, though many times while it's almost always obvious when Sideswipe has pulled a stunt, Jazz is more subtle and is often able to get away without being caught.

Jazz is also acutely interested in the cultures he encounters across the Universe, adapting to fit into them with remarkable ease. After coming to Earth, he quickly assimilated into the culture, taking to their music most particularly. He enjoys studying cultures and societies and is fascinated with all aspects of human life, and is often the Autobot the others go to if they have questions about the way the organics live.

In battle, Jazz can be fierce and protective of his comrades. He's a skilled combatant, and despite his smaller stature, isn't a Bot to be underestimated. His friendly nature belies his training as a ruthless special agent, and he has no problem assassinating a Decepticon that's in the way of his mission. Even fellow Autobots know that when he sets his mind to something, it's best not to get in his way. Whether it's in a competition with his friends or fulfilling an order to commit sabotage against the enemy's forces, he'll do whatever it takes – underhanded or not – to complete whatever he's set his mind to.

Of particular note regarding his relationships with his fellow Autobots are his friendhips with the Autobot Twins, Sunstreaker and Sideswipe and the Autobot Tactician and Second-in-Command, Prowl. Sunstreaker, Prowl, Jazz, Wheeljack, Inferno, and Stampede were, in the early days of the war, gathered together to form a covert team sent out to protect a small neutral Cybertronian city from destruction by a ruthless Decepticon named Megadeath. They had not known each other long, but the events that occurred there - their capture and subsequent torture by the enemy and eventual murder of Stampede while they were forced to watch - all had a deep impact on the small group. (Canon reference.) A strong friendship was formed between Jazz and the surviving members, particularly Sunstreaker and Prowl, and in the end, Prowl and Jazz formed a romantic relationship with one another. (Based on existing CR with Prowl's Mun.) As Cybertronians do not have a concept of gender the way some forms of organic life do, the concept of two male-like bots forming a bonded pair was not an unusual thing. They kept it hidden for a number of years, however, due to the danger it could pose should the information be discovered by Decepticons who would use it against them. Jazz is intensely loyal to the SiC and also helps bridge the gap between Prowl's strict, seemingly emotionless demeanor and the Autobots who have a hard time understanding Prowl's personality.

Jazz has a strong judge of character and can often tell when someone is lying or has less then good intentions. It's allowed him to understand those that other Autobots have a hard time getting along with, such as the volatile Sunstreaker, Huffer, Cliffjumper, and of course Prowl.

Abilities: In his robot mode, Jazz has the abilities to create a disorienting light and sound display that subdues other bots and allows him to gain the upper hand. As the head of Special Operations of the Autobots, he's an expert in being stealthy and can get in and out of even some of the most dangerous situations before anyone knows he's been there. He is a capable fighter when he needs to, and is well known amongst the Decepticon forces as one of the more dangerous foes to find yourself facing on the battlefield.

So uh, hey, cats. Anyone know where I can find someone who can braid my hair?

Not like...one big braid. Cornrows, y'dig? The barbers here all wanna cut my hair like Prowl's. Short'n side-part-y. That don't work very well with my hair.

I like it long, it's just...kinda...[The sound of rustling comes over the phone like he's ruffling his own hair, and he gives a soft murmur of irritation.] It's a mess! I dunno how you cats do it!

[He gives a long-suffering sigh, and one can almost hear him rubbing his hand down his own face.] Primus, do I miss home.

Whatever. Prowler, y'feel like comin' over an' helping me tame this mess? Or just, y'know...anything? The drones're drivin' me nuts. If that woman calls me honey one more time, I don' know what I'm gonna do...!

Character Name: Christian James
Character Series: Moulin Rouge!
Character Age: 22
Background: Backstory. Christian will be taken post-'Elephant Love Medley'.

Personality:

Truth! Beauty! Freedom!

Love.

These are the words that define young Christian. An idealistic youth, and a great believer in these Bohemian ideals, Christian has been described as the voice of the Children of the Revolution, something that leaves him thrilled... and terrified. He is seen as being rather shy, one who becomes easily flustered and nervous when facing something exhilarating and new. It isn't until he can properly express himself through his words (and his song) that his talent can truly be appreciated.

A young man possessed of a passionate artistic soul, Christian felt he never had a true place in London circa 1899. Constantly under the stern eye of his father, who clearly had a very specific path set out for his whimsical son. No, Christian would have nothing of it – he meant to follow his heart, and wherever that took him, he would stay. Well, his heart would take him to Paris, where the fire of the Bohemian revolution began. His much more shy, quiet nature puts him in stark contrast against the much more loud, exuberant, and just plain exotic personalities of the other bohemians. It's clear that Christian led something of a sheltered life, incapable of experiencing many things until he arrived in Monmartre - overwhelming experiences for such an eager, dramatic mind to take in. Freedom was granted, and with that freedom, Christian's confidence grew.

Above all else – truly, above anything in the world – Christian believes in love. He takes that one emotion, and uses it to fuel his mind, body, and soul. His fantasy allows him to believe whole-heartedly that love is all you need. He possesses an almost child-like wonder about the notion of love, something his father would constantly claim as an unhealthy obsession.

Christian, tragically, fails to realize that his love, while impossibly innocent and pure, can very quickly become a poison, destroying the lives of all those around him. He can take the turn towards becoming unknowingly obsessed and possessive, though perhaps not the the extreme extent of his rival the Duke. Jealousy is a shocking new emotion for him, one that is cold and can easily drive him mad.

Character Name: King Julien XIII
Character Series: Madagascar franchise, with a focus on The Penguins of Madagascar
Character Age: ...N/A?
Background: Julien takes a minor role first two Madagascar films, with a subplot in a Christmas special that takes place between the two movies.

His major role is in the television series, which is, according to creators, an alternate plotline for the Madagascar franchise, presumably stemming off after the second film. There have been three seasons so far, but there is only so much continuity in the series. Mainly, for our purposes, it gives more of a look at Julien's character, while also setting up a habitat from him where he isn't followed blindly as a king.

Personality: Julien is most easily defined by negative traits, mostly those related to pride. Pride is definitely Julien's sin, and he is incredibly narcissistic in that he, generally, puts himself above all others and believes no one can reach his levels of greatness. Whatever the trait, if Julien decides it is one he wants to have, he will think of himself as the ultimate bearer of said trait. He frequently will talk about how he is the best; how he is the king and that gives him superiority in every sense. He expects others to let him boss them around and can't function without that. (More on this inability to function later.) Julien is also spoiled rotten, and rarely does things for himself. He generally orders Maurice and Mort to do things for him, and his selfishness shows here, as well; he will force them to do dangerous things to get what he wants, because he believes he should have everything at any cost.

Julien is dynamic and highly emotional. He's a party animal by nature, often spending all night dancing. He will celebrate the smallest of things, and, on the other end of the spectrum, he is a wrathful and impulsive ruler, punishing his two subjects in ways that aren't equivalent to their actions. For example, the accidental breaking of his throne leads to him banishing Mort and Maurice from his presence. On the note of his dynamic nature, Julien is incredibly flirtatious, and can act this way with almost every other animal (or object - he tried to woo a smoothie once) he comes in contact with, no matter how much mutual contempt there is in the situation.

Continuing on the 'highly-emotional' note... Julien is incredibly needy of and dependent on his friends, especially Maurice and Mort. He is prone to breakdowns when he loses them, starting up heated arguments with stuffed animals when they are having fun without him. Breakdowns in general are common with Julien; when he lost his crown, he was brought down to a listless, despairing little thing. So yes, as seen by these examples, his breakdowns range from depression to bouts of crazy... Not that Julien isn't already a bit cooky; he always seems to have his head in his own little world, with a strange idea of how things work.

Ultimately, however, Julien will always come around and do the right thing. He has morals deep down and will put in the work to save the day from, say, a revenge-seeking dolphin. He also, deep down, cares about his friends and just wants to be with them. When he and Rico become close friends, he is jealous when Rico talks about spending time with the other penguins, and when Maurice is supposedly close to death, Julien does all he can to make his friend's last day the very best... Of course, it is Julien's idea of the very best day, not Maurice's, because -- to bring things full circle -- Julien's mind is always on Julien in one way or another. As he once said himself, "Nobody loves me... The way I love me!"

Abilities: He is highly acrobatic and generally in good physical shape. He's a dancer and a tree-climber. Nothing out of the ordinary, though.

Sample Entry:

Hello, Mayfield-y people! It is, your king!

I am most unhappy with you all, my Mayfield-y subjects! I have learned that before I came, there was a prom! Now, uh, I do not know what that is, but I am hearing it has a king, which of course should have been me. I mean, really, who better a king for your promming than your king for everything else?

But I was not your promming king, because you were all having prom without me! You should have waited for me!

I will be thinking up an appropriate punishment. Goodbye until then!

Character Name: Lois Lane
Character Series: Smallville / DC Comics
Character Age: 27
Background: Lois Joanne Lane was born on Ramstein Air Base in Germany to General Sam Lane and his wife, Ella. Her younger sister, Lucy, followed several years later. When Lois was six years old, her mother died of cancer. General Lane raised his two daughters much like he trained his soldiers. The chain of command in the Lane family was very clear; the General, as he was called, looked after Lois, and Lois looked after little Lucy. The three jumped around to various military bases until The General sent Lucy to boarding school and Lois was left to follow her father around the world.

In her later high school years, Lois left her father and all the army base fun to investigate the sudden death of her cousin, Chloe Sullivan. Her travels took her to Smallville, where she met and immediately butted heads with farmboy Clark Kent. He, too, suspected foulplay in his best friend’s death, and so the pair teamed up on their first investigation. To their relief, they found Chloe very much alive and rescued her from the men who had taken her.

Lois was intent on returning overseas to reunite with her father when The General realized that her high school credits were, as it stood, incomplete. He enrolled her at Smallville High, where she begrudgingly attended classes alongside Clark and Chloe in order to attain her diploma. Soon enough, she had moved in at the Kent Farm and gained admittance at Metropolis University.

Not long after enrollment, however, Lois was kicked out of Met U for underage drinking. She took on as many odd jobs as she could to gain some money, but it wasn’t until another one of her adventures with Clark and Chloe got her bitten by the reporting bug. Her cousin had taken a job at the Daily Planet, which more often than not saw Lois tagteaming on investigations. She attempted to fight it at first, but before long Lois had landed herself her first journalism job with the Metropolis Inquisitor.

A few months later, the editor at the Daily Planet recognized her passion and knack for reporting and offered her a job on the basement level. She’s since then fought to work her way to the top of the Planet. Her article breaking the story of Superman himself has gained her quite a name for herself, and this next big story on the mystery on Mayfield is sure to solidify her as a front page reporter…

If she can ever manage to leave.

Personality: [Taken and embellished from Smallville Wiki]

Lois's youth was spent on different army bases with her father, General Sam Lane, whom she refers to as "The General." As a result of her upbringing, Lois is a persistent, slightly impulsive, if not headstrong, woman. She often uses sarcasm and random, obscure references to illustrate her point. She takes charge of, or takes over, most situations and is wildly brave, at times. Her curiosity and obsession with the truth commonly find her in over her head. She often risks her life by crashing forward, only to have to either frantically talk her way out of or physically defend herself in dangerous situations. These situations, quite ironically, often culminate in her rescue by non other than Clark Kent himself. Once, in the event of a zombie apocalypse, Clark attempted to protect Lois from an attack. Lois quipped, “Clark, you have no idea what you’re up against. I’ll get us through this.” She promptly fought off a crowd of zombies and got herself bitten, only to turn into a zombie herself and then leave it up to Clark to find the cure.

Lois' familial relationships give great insight into her motivations and actions. She is as close as a sister to her cousin Chloe and is very protective of her. Lois has been shown to bravely do whatever it takes to ensure the safety of her loved ones. When she suspected Chloe’s “death” smelled of foul play, she dropped everything to fly out to Smallville and investigate, eventually rescuing her cousin thereafter. Additionally, although she and her sister maintain a strained relationship, when Lucy appeared in Smallville to ask for help, Lois was there for her in a heartbeat.

Lois' tough exterior seemingly covers underlying insecurities. She desperately seeks approval from her father, even though she feels like he abandoned her for his military duties after the death of her mother when Lois was 6 years old. She blames herself for her sister Lucy's failures, but is full of pride and admiration of her accomplishments. In addition, she has described herself as a "screw-up" and freely acknowledges when she has worsened a situation. She also talks without thinking, causing her to often seem insensitive, but usually regretfully so.

Lois has a tendency to deal with her emotions using alcohol. Her binge drinking sometimes resulted in unfortunate consequences: she was kicked out of Metropolis University for drinking, and embarrassed herself by giving an offensive toast at Chloe and Jimmy's engagement party.

Lois’s passions include journalism, vigilantes, video games, and 1980’s rock music. She is horrible at cooking, organization, and keeping her mouth shut at opportune times. She is willing to do anything to get a story, including getting dressed up as a stripper, prision guard, vixen fighter, french maid, superheroine, golden bunny girl or a dominatrix. Despite this, she has been uncomfortable with using her sexuality outside of harmless flirting or a personal relationship; her exotic dance routine was clumsy until she was almost completely done with it, and her dominatrix routine was equally as awkward.

There is one exception to Lois' willingness to do anything for a story: she has been willing to put her support for heroes over her own career. Lois has said that her "worst fear in the world is to be alone in the world without heroes." She champions truth and justice over all, making her the number one voice in print media for the vigilante cause.
Abilities: Lois is a third-degree black belt in karate. She also possesses the power of whoop-ass, on occasion. Also, her journalism skills are top notch. What's that? You wanted something supernatural or summat? Yeah, none of that. Sorry.

Sample Entry: You’re kidding, right?

You don’t… seriously expect me to put on an apron and play house?

There’s a reason I wasn’t born in the 50’s, you know. This whole cooking, cleaning, tell-me-about-your-day,-honeymuffin thing is so not my style. I’m more likely to accidentally burn down the house and spin-kick this mystery man who calls himself my husband into a wall before this Pleasantville life actually sucks me in. But the only way to get my story is to play along until I get a good lead on who’s behind this. And a way out of here.

When life gives you lemons, you know? In this case, lemons are a creepy ass suburban Stepford prison of my own worst nightmare, but… hey. This particular brand of lemonade smells like one hell of a conspiracy, as far as I’m concerned.

And the bottle’s got Pulitzer written all over it.

Character Name: Taria Damsin
Character Series: Star Wars EU
Character Age: 34

Background: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Taria_Damsin - I will be taking her after the events in Clone Wars Gambit: Siege, [spoilers]after she has died weeks after the novel's close.[/spoiler]

Personality:

Taria is a bit of an odd duck where Jedi Masters are concerned, likely due to her time spent as a Shadow. Shadows are an elite group of the Sentinel class, and act as spies and saboteurs for the Order, hunting down agents of the dark side. Master Damsin is notable for her adaptability in any situation, rolling with the punches as they come and working quickly on her feet to come up with a solution. Sometimes plans need to change, after all, and she's not only good at it, she's one of the best. She is unafraid and disciplined enough to make moral compromises that other members of the Order might find… questionable.

Her adaptability does come with a tendency towards recklessness. Taria would hardly put the mission or those she's close to at risk- but she has no qualms about throwing herself into harm's way to get things done. Though the fatal illness she contracted was once more out of remission, she threw herself into battle on Lanteeb to assist Kenobi and Skywalker against Sep forces. As she once said to Obi-Wan, she intended to live her life on her own terms, and by all accounts lived it to the fullest while she still could.

Her strength of character and willpower are outstanding character traits. After the mission to Corellia with Ahsoka, Master Damsin was in a great deal of pain from her illness, but kept it together for the return home to Coruscant. A born leader, Taria nonetheless has a preference for staying out of the limelight, a valuable trait for someone with her former job description.

On the whole, Taria is quite affable and approachable for a Jedi of her rank. She prefers to go by her first name over "Master Damsin", particularly where some of the older Padawan learners are concerned. Warm, caring and perceptive, she places a high value on friendship and balance in all of her relationships. Taria is also very fond of gently teasing the people around her, particularly Obi-Wan as they've known one another since they were children. She has a tendency to still get excited about the little things, and remains in possession of a sense of wonder about the universe.

That's not to say she's flippant- Taria never says what she doesn't mean to the people who matter. Every moment with Ahsoka was another instance in which to further provide learning experiences for the Padawan.

Abilities: Jedi powers of awesome. B| As a Jedi Master she is an adept Force user, and teaches advanced lightsaber classes in the Temple on Coruscant. Shadows are also wielders of double-bladed lightsabers, and she possess additional skill sets related to espionage, non-Jedi weaponry, slicing, piloting and explosives.

She can also sing. It's rather sweet.

Sample Entry:

[ Filtered Call to Mayfield's Erstwhile Jedi ]

This is Taria speaking; I realize this will probably step on several toes, but I have something that needs to be said.

The Jedi need to organize. Not just to fight- because that is a sad inevitability here -but more importantly to give succor to those around us and to one another; to share information; to provide training for those who are still Learners in the Force.

If we have to be stranded here, why not consider starting a Praxeum in Mayfield? The greatest we have to offer one another is knowledge. If we loosely formalize an academy we have a chance to continue the principles and teachings of the Jedi Order.

Character Name: Prowl
Character Series: Transformers (Generation 1)
Character Age: Millions of years old, in a human form he appears to be in his mid twenties.
Background: http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Prowl_%28G1%29#Generation_1_cartoon_continuity Prowl’s history on the Transformers wiki, link goes to start of relevant section, he is taken from the point shortly after the second season end jump to the movie, somewhere in the late 80’s, early 90’s.
Personality:
He was one of the Magnificent Six who became well known in the beginning of the war, he has a great force of will and determination, like the others among the six he spent a lot of time alone in Decepticon territory, working to damage their strength and position. It was on a mission that would cost them one of the six that he finally met and started to learn more about Jazz, who, over time, became his romantic partner, which carries no gender stigma on their world or among their people (Based off CR with Jazz’s mun). Prowl is the kind of person who has two personalities and they each are show in turn depending on the situation, and while one is similar to the other, they are different enough to be noticeable to anyone who has the chance to see both.

In Public:
Those who have only gotten to see Prowl’s in public face would most likely describe him as cold, callous, cynical, calculating and an over all stick in the mud. The truth of the matter is that publicly Prowl keeps a tight check on his emotions, not letting anything of his inner state of being reflect on his face or in his actions and words. He is a deeply loyal person and so views the obstructed completion of his job to be of greater importance than what others think of his emotional state.

Along with his loyalty Prowl has a strict rule adherence what seems like a galaxy wide. When he is in his public persona he has a tendency to make decisions based on logical facts and calculable possibilities, which means he can, and has, sent good people out into suicide situations, though there are few more grateful than he is when they do return alive from those missions. What keeps Prowl from being A-moral about this is that if his calculations proved that putting himself at that kind of grave risk was to the greatest advantage then he would go through with it just as he expects those under his command to do.

In Private:
Even in private Prowl does not always show the full of his personality to just anyone, what people get a chance to see of him is based greatly around how close he feels to the person and how much he trusts them. Of all the people out there Jazz is the only one who has ever seen him fully ‘be himself’ in private. As with all people and things when someone holds in a lot of emotions they either need an outlet or they will do themselves damage, for Prowl he uses private time with those he trusts and is close to, most preferably Jazz, to let his emotions out. He is not the kind of person to rage over things or whine about them, but he does say all the emotional things he has been holding in.

Another factor to Prowl that is unseen in public is that while he supports logical, well meant and run rules he does not like meaningless or harmful rules and will go out of his way to break them whenever he can. He also has a playful, somewhat sarcastic aspect to him. His wits allow for some creative comebacks and he likes to try and see how much he can fluster others by acting naturally around them when they aren’t paying attention. One thing that he absolutely refuses to have in the public, when he is fully aware of himself and his surroundings, is to air his relationship publicly.

Abilities:
Prowl is a giant, transforming robot with the ability to turn into a car. He also carries various weapons including a plasma pistol and a gun that shoots acid pellets. As a robot he has access to a disproportionately large storage space that allows him to carry a seemingly endless supply of data pads and tools for nearly any situation. In his robotic form he has access to a logic processor that can calculate nearly infinite possibilities to create various probabilities of outcomes for a situation. Prowl is the Autobots chief military tactician and battle strategist, he is also a fighter though he prefers a subtle method where he doesn’t get caught rather than an out and out fight.

Sample Entry:

Character Name: Roark "Rocky" Rickaby
Character Series: Lackadaisy
Character Age: 22
Background: There's still a fair bit that isn't known about Rocky's early life, but so far we do know that he lived with his aunt, Nina, and his cousin, Calvin, when he was fairly young, and was eventually kicked out -- presumably twice, as Nina tells him at one point that he hasn't got a second chance left with her. This could also mean, however, that whatever got him kicked out was considered so unacceptable that Nina won't give him a second chance.

He'd been all over, doing a wide variety of jobs, before ending up back in St. Louis, Missouri. Whether this was his second time working for Mitzi May at her speakeasy or his first was unclear, but we do know that, when Viktor had to retire as gin and whiskey runner, Rocky stepped up from just a violinist in the Lackadaisy's band, to doubling as Viktor's replacement.

We meet Rocky in 1927, at which point the Lackadaisy is struggling. He's gone to plan a meeting with a bootlegger, but a gang of three who want the booze for their own work steps in. Apparently they've run into Rocky before, and plan to finish him off for good. Rocky's tie is nailed to a train track with a train on the way, but the cat manages to escape -- All while never shutting up. Unfortunately, he leaves his car behind, where he was kidnapped.

When Viktor takes him back to get his car, Rocky asks for advice on the rum running job, only to be told he's too weak and scrawny for the position. Still, on the same ride, Rocky gets an idea to scare off the particular competitors he'd ran into once and for all. Minor following details include Rocky delivering an invitation to the Lackadaisy to one Sedgewick Sable, and waxing poetic about the Mississippi River.

He goes to visit his Aunt Nina to ask her to fix his jacket, which got all but ruined in the earlier scrape. Aunt Nina is less than amused, and tells Rocky to take his cousin, Calvin, out wherever he's headed to get the young man's mind off his failure at the police academy. Ever the responsible cousin, Rocky goes on with his plan for, as he puts it, "justice", taking Calvin with him. They set the competitions pig farm (and house, and cars) on fire, but not without getting caught. A hasty escape is made, and Rocky takes Calvin to the Little Daisy Café, the building above the Lackadaisy, for a meal. Unbeknownst to Rocky, this is where Calvin is told about the Lackadaisy by the late original owner's goddaughter, Ivy Pepper.

That night, Rocky goes to pick up the alcohol, accompanied by an insistent Viktor. At first, it seems all has gone well -- to Rocky, at least -- and he goes up to interrupt a conversation between Sedgewick and Mitzi with poorly-concealed jealousy. However, things start to go downhill when Rocky takes the rest of the band up to bring down the alcohol; the owners of the pig farm followed them back to the garage, and had gotten into a shootout with Viktor; one the elderly cat was actually winning... Until Rocky opened up the basement door and shone light into the garage, revealing an entrance to the Lackadaisy. Running to warn the others, Rocky is confused to see his cousin with Ivy, but more important matters take precedence. Zib, another band member, rushes the patrons out, leaving himself, Mitzi, Calvin, and Rocky inside. A chase ensues as the remaining three Lackadaisy employees, plus Calvin, try to get to the artillery storage room... Only to find it has been robbed. Left with only Mitzi's handgun, Rocky gallantly (and idiotically) attempts to hide the others behind him and save the day, but just before the competition finds them, Calvin takes the gun from his cousin.

Rocky is shocked to see his cousin go on to shoot down all three of the intruders, and when Calvin runs off in a guilty panic, he follows him to make sure he doesn't turn himself in and spill about the Lackadaisy. Calvin just drives away, though, still incredibly shaken. Things only get worse for Rocky when he sees Mitzi kissing Sedgewick, who stayed behind to pay for a doctor to look at Viktor, who Rocky later learns was shot.

The next morning, Rocky goes to check on Calvin, who didn't go to the police. Rocky has, by this point, decided that the best course of action is to get Calvin a job helping him with runs. He takes his cousin to Mitzi, who is meeting with an old associate of her late husband, the original owner of the Lackadaisy. She decides to take both boys with her to the dinner, to put up a good front. Things go less than perfectly, though, leaving Rocky eager to help Mitzi, who asks him to drop her off at Sedgewicks and then go ask Viktor about a place to find better bootleg booze. Begrudgingly, he drops her off, but doesn't leave before having a private word with Sedgewick, where he scares the businessman by implying that Mitzi might have had a hand in her husband's death. (To use the word 'implying' loosely; Rocky is quite obvious.)

Rocky then goes to pick up Ivy Pepper on the way to Viktor's, as she's the only one who can keep Viktor from injuring him half the time. Ivy attacks Rocky, angry at him for the arson that lead to Viktor getting hurt, but ultimately agrees to go with him to talk to the older cat. He tells Rocky to go to Defiance, Missouri. After dropping off Calvin at home, he heads there with Ivy.

Personality: A word frequently used by the author to describe Rocky is “manic”, and it’s… Quite fitting. He’s a bundle of energy and idea, both good and bad ones. He’s eager and ever-chatty. Prone to bouts of crazy laughter, he’s just… Well. He seems a little nuts, in a cheerful way. However, as the author herself has stated, “He is naturally upbeat, but…there’s also a sort of frantic desperation behind most of the things he does.”. This is clear in the comic when he is pleading with Calvin not to blow things for him at the Lackadaisy, citing the fact that “they tolerate [him]” there as reason he wants to stay around. After being booted from his aunt’s home and traveling all over to do jobs that he either couldn’t hold down or couldn’t stay interested, he’s left with this desire for a place where people will simply want him around.

This desire is a large factor, presumably, in Rocky’s crush on Mitzi, who does want him around. It’s a crush worth noting because of how it makes him act; Rocky is very, very defensive and protective of Mitzi, but he also listens to her. (That’s kind of a big deal for him.) Usually, Rocky is all charisma and enthusiasm, but when Mitzi asks him to leave something alone, he generally does. Rocky's other relationships are less... Well, good. While he clearly cares about Calvin, he's not afraid to get him into quite a bit of trouble. Part of this, though, could be because Rocky doesn't see the trouble that lies ahead in his plans.

Rocky is capable of being quite clever and, when he’s not rambling, (which is most of the time, admittedly), he has a way with words. His ideas are often pretty smart when looked at alone, but when one thinks about the likely consequences… Suddenly things aren’t looking so good. This is how Rocky functions, bouncing between cleverness and idiocy. Additionally, he’s incredibly obvious and truly wears his heart on his sleeve. Though he thinks he’s subtle, he’s anything but.

Rocky is a bit off his rocker, really, and has some of the most absurd ideas and plans, but deep down, he's just as human as a cat-person can be. He can be hurt, such as when he sees Mitzi and Sedgewick kissing. The next day, he tries to cover this up with his usual manic ways, but a bit into talking Calvin, it becomes clear that he's still upset. Rocky has feelings and is sensitive, even if that's not as clear with him as it would be with most others.

Abilities: He has his moments of brilliance, he really does. He’s pretty agile, too!

Helloooo, Mayfield!

Hey, alright, I have a question for you guys! Here I am, stuck in this furle-- Human body, and I'm figuring that's just how it works here! But then I see all these grey folks with horns walking around... So I gotta ask, what does this place have against cats? I'd really like my tail back... My normal ears... The fur... Oh, how I miss my fur! It's cold without the fur, you know!

Character Name: Kariya Matou
Character Series: Fate/Zero
Character Age: Mid to late twenties
Background: TA-DAH

Personality:
Kariya Matou is a broken man, destroyed by his own misguided ideals and weakness. He is fundamentally a coward at heart, only able to muster the courage to stand up for himself when it means being able to open a path to escape from his problems. In his youth, he stood up to Zouken Matou, the ancient head of the Matou family, but only for the purpose of turning his back on his position as heir to the family magic. He summoned the strength of will to enter the Holy Grail War, knowing that it would mean the end of his life. And at all points in between, he avoided responsibility and conflict, never able to tell his childhood friend Aoi how he felt about her or the choices she had made in her life.

Kariya deeply regrets his own weakness, believing himself directly responsible for the terrible fate that befell Sakura Tohsaka as she was given up for adoption to the Matou family. He feels intensely guilty for abandoning his family, as now the responsibility of inheriting their terrible secrets has fallen upon an innocent girl who deserved none of it. In addition, he feels that had he been able to tell Aoi not to marry Tokiomi Tohsaka or to protest giving up her second-born daughter, he may have been able to avert Sakura’s fate long before it became an issue. His entry into the Holy Grail War is therefore as much about punishing himself as it is finding salvation for Sakura.

Because of his low self-opinion, and perhaps somewhat spurred on by it, Kariya has an incredibly self-sacrificing personality. He is willing to put his own life on the line and do whatever it takes to ensure the safety and security of those he loves, while simultaneously believing that he is not worthy of receiving their love in return. This is also due to his somewhat childish idealism, which he still manages to hold onto even after everything has happened. Although he knows his life will not last much longer, he still believes wholeheartedly in the idea of a noble and heroic sacrifice and the ability to redeem others through his own actions, even though his sacrifice is still an act of running away from his problems. But he still clings to this ideal, as this is really the only thing keeping him going through his trials as a Master in the Holy Grail War.

Unfortunately, due to his status as a Berserker master, Kariya walks a thin line as far as his own sanity is concerned. While he manages to maintain a lucid outlook a good deal of the time, his temper smolders and flares like that of his Servant, and at times he can snap and become unpredictably violent and cruel. While fighting the other Masters at the beginning of the War, Kariya grins sadistically as he coldly commands his Servant to kill. Throughout the war, he becomes more and more unbalanced, and honestly attempts to kill Tokiomi when he confronts him at the Mion River. Later on, when Aoi confronts him at the Church after Kotomine sets him up to look like Tokiomi's killer, she accuses him of never having loved anyone, and he loses his temper and strangles her to death. This is clear evidence of how playing host to the Crest Worms as well as the stress of maintaining a Berserker class Servant have played hell with Kariya's mind.

Abilities: Kariya's prana is supplied by the Crest Worms that inhabit his body. Besides increasing the power of his Magic Circuits to levels capable of sustaining the manifestation of a Servant, he is also able to painfully summon them forth from his body to attack his opponents. The worms hatch into flying creatures called Blade Wing Worms, which are far stronger than their size would indicate, as they are capable of stripping flesh from bone with relative ease. He also possesses three Command Seals that mark him as a Master in the Fourth Holy Grail War, allowing him to contract with and control a Heroic Spirit as his Servant.
